Good afternoon!
Day 1- Biggest Loser Cardio Max L1
Day 2- JM30DS L2
I am ready for L2 to be over with! I do not like the ab twist plank move. I cannot hang for a full minute. DH knows I have been getting up for the past couple weeks and working out. One morning before he was leaving for work (he’s been working PT with a neighbor), when he kissed me goodbye he told him that I was doing a good job. I also overheard him tell our neighbor that he was proud of me since I had been getting up everyday. Oooh…that made me feel so good!
Here’s a funny little tidbit for you…after hearing Datenshi’s! BTW Datenshi...you are cracking me up, it is also okay to ramble, I find myself doing it all the time. But here's my funny...In the morning after I workout, I am hot sweaty and still up-itty. Well when I take my shower I first start out with hot water, and then when I go to rinse I use cooler water. Oooh, it’s like a cold glass of water, it is so refreshing!! It definitely brings my body temperature down to normal. Does anyone else do that OR am I just weird?

Loved the results of all the walking yesterday so much that I had my hubby drop me off at work before he left for work. I left in time to get back to the house and drop my backpack and purse off before heading to the school. I barely had time for that. I ended up walking 3.2 miles in 54 minutes and burning 289 calories!!!! :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: It's supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so I'm going to do this again!0

Haven't weighed in yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Having some severe ovarian pain with massive swelling on hands, feet, and abdomen. Not a good moral booster when it comes to stepping on the scale. I'm already having enough trouble mentally dealing with it, so I figured I wouldn't kick myself while I'm down.
On the upside, this challenge this week helped me. Went to get in the car to go the gym yesterday after arguing with myself for 30 minutes about whether I was going or not, only to not have my car start. The upside to that was when I had to pick up my kids, I had to walk the mile to school and then walk back carrying about 30 plus pounds in school book bags. So I was able to get my exercise in. Frustrating side to yesterday is that my husband tried the car last night and it started perfectly. Am I crazy? I'm beginning to feel like it...
Katy - Many congratulations (sorry I'm coming in late).
Lauren - You are so cute. For me, I sometimes take showers at the gym JUST for the unlimited hot water access, and THEN have to get into the sauna to keep myself warm. I NEED HEAT!!! You on the other hand are just hot stuff!

oh, boy was last night a disaster zone. i just started eating and couldn't stop. DH is sick again. he went to bed at 7:30 and that started it. he's home from work today. i am having myself a pitty party. men are such babies when they are sick.

Well...I must say this week's challenge helped me BIG TIME! I had NO motivation last night...with my sick baby, and some over-eating of sugary stuff...I wanted to just veg out on the couch...but I thought about our challenge and so did my workout and felt SO much better!!! So...thanks guys!!:flowerforyou: Still feeling kind of bloated this morning, which is probably from the over eating last night, but it's okay. Kadence is still sick. I am so paranoid...thinking the worst is coming, but she's a tough little girl and will hopefully get over this quickly. There are so many scary things that we all hear about RSV, but the doctor I saw really said there's no big need to worry...she seems to have a mild case. So...keeping fingers crossed and prayers coming!
As far as me...tonight is my easy night, and due to the lack of sleep lately, I really need it. I will do my 15 minute Ab workout...I think. At least 15 minutes of something to meet my goal! So hoping Kadence sleeps better tonight...it's been really bad lately!
Food plan today:
B-Cinnamon Burst Cheerios, skim milk, coffee w/sugarfree creamer

L-FF Cottage cheese, baby carrots, Wheatable crackers, light yogurt

Hey ladies, just wanted to drop in and say hi. See how you all are. I have not weighed in for the last 2 weeks. I have been avoiding the scale. But I realized today that doesnt mean I need to avoid all of you or the challenge.
Katy- congrats on the proposal. How exciting!
Kristin- so sorry you little person is so sick. Hate it when the kids are sick!
Cathy- men are such babies when they are sick.
Lauren - I can never take a cold shower. Even when it is hot outside.

As for me, tried a pilates class this last Monday. I liked it. Signed up for 4 more. I think I may continue to do it after that too. I was a little concerned when I walked in because, well, lets just say the instructor doesnt look like an exercise instructor. But my friend convinced me she was good so I gave it a chance. She is good! I also went and and bought JL No More Trouble Zones and Yoga Meltdown. I am excited to get started with it.

we weigh in on tuesday mornings. kistinbee will start the new thread, just look for week 4. we do 6 week time frames. we post our starting weight of the 6 weeks and goal weight of what we would like to see at the end of 6 weeks, and the current weight of what we weighed on that tuesday. we are the sixers and change name to match what is happening during the six weeks.
just copy the list add your name and stats. on check in days you copy and paste the list and move yourself to the upper section. this is the checked in. the lower is the have not check in people.
this challenge we are doing little weekly ones. this one is do at least 15 mins of exercise.

Hi Judy!! We would LOVE to have you join us! This is a WONDERFUL group of ladies!! It started a few years ago and has managed to stick around. We do six week challenges. This one is on week 3 (but please jump in at ANY time). Usually I start a new thread on Tuesdays (which is our normal weigh-in day). We have a start weight (SW) which is from the beginning of that particular 6 week challenge, our goal weight (GW) which is for the end of that particular 6 week challenge, our current weight (CW) which is our weight each week on weigh-in day, and our progress which is how many pounds we've gained or lost so far during that particular challenge. There's no catch to this thread...we just are holding ourselves accountable and sharing our secrets or concerns with each other. We help to motivate and inspire. It's REALLY a great group! This particular challenge, we decided to try and have mini goals for each week...last week was to stay with 200 calories of our nutrition goal each day, this week it's to get in at least 15 minutes of exercise each day. Just a little added motivation each week! SO...feel free to jump in at any time. We have a list with our weights which we update each week...just look through the thread for the MOST CURRENT list...so it has everyone's updated weigh-ins, copy and paste it into your post and add yourself to the bottom of the TOP section. If this doesn't make sense, please ask or just post it and we can fix it if needed!! We would LOVE to have you!!0 -

Me...my name is Kristin. I'm 27. Married with an ADORABLE little girl who is almost 18 months! I work full time and wish so badly I could be a stay-at-home mommy but it's just not in the cards for me. I love to exercise and am working hard to get down to my goal weight that I was striving for before becoming pregnant. Have about 25 pounds left to go and am determined to get there!!!0 -

Here's a little bit about me....I've been retired since Sept. of 2009 from a job I worked at for 48 years...Believe it or not I miss it...The last of March I turn 68 and have a 45 year old daughter from my first marriage.....the husband I have now ...we've been married almost 31 years........he is semi-retired but drives a school bus ...we have nine grandchildren together....I've had trouble with my weight practically all my life and have at one time or another been doing something like...weight watchers...tops...Jenny craig...name it I've done it...This place has got to be the best......has taught me to take one day at a time ....and to rely on the support of others to get me through it........I can spend a whole day just reading all the post and blogs and it gives me such motivation..........I just love it...and feel like I really know these people because their problems sound so much like mine.... gotta run now and figure out what's for dinner.........thank you so much............Judy0

LAUREN!!! im with you on the cold shower thing. LOVE IT. i usually work out in the mornings before work and I finish up lay on the carpet dying loudly for a few minutes, then i make my pack up fr work by which time i am slightly less hot sweaty and gross!
then i have a lovely cool shower! if i shower hot i just get out hotter!!!
reading your funny posts has made me realise I've started to do funny stuff too.i caught myself AT WORK running up the stairs holding my butt!! i liked the fact I culd feel the muscles!! must remember not to do that in public again! haha!
Ithink i've knackered myself out this week with the exercise. juststruggling so much to draw up the motivation. When i worked out this morning, my legs just would not lift, i felt like a dead weight! i'm going to do my 40minute dvd tomorrow and then havethe weekend off. And hopefully by next week it'll be light enough in the evenings so i can start running outside again! woo hoo!!

Hi Judy, welcome.
Here's a little bit about myself. I'm 36 and married to my wonderful husband of 5 years in April. We are raising two beautiful children, Shaelyn 10, and Christopher (AKA Pher) 9 in April. My original goal when I started this site was to get back to my wedding weight (137). Then to get to the weight I was when I first kissed my husband (131). So basically I have met my goal. Now it's all about the vanity and tightening the tushy after two kids. But I found that when I kept my goal at "maintenance", I was easily letting it slip away from me. Besides, I LOVE this group and want to continue to be a part of it, so here I am. These ladies are wonderful and real, with all the ups and downs, all the backwards and forwards, and all the tears and laughter. Could NOT have made it this far without you all (ayiyi, hormones kicking in with all the mushiness).
Oh yeah, and I'm from the beach in Maryland, USA, and now currently living in the big city of Baltimore (but less than an hour away from DC)
Very excited the weather is finally changing and might actually attempt running OUTSIDE today. Don't know how that will go as the ground will not be forcing me to move forward. But we will give it a go.0 -

have the girls all day today. no school today and monday. so no walk yet. i will get them together for an afternoon walk.
going to sons trailer today. he gives the guy a check. than the work begins. he's nervous and excited at the same time. it needs lots of work. we will make a list today of where to begin. then he can begin.
i did good yesterday. surprised me. i have been telling myself that i am the one who puts the food in my mouth and asking why am i eating it.
need to shower and dress. need to be there at 10 and have other things to get done. girls are on the computers playing games. gee can you tell we have many computers? i think we have 5/6. most of the time one is open. LOL.

Hello ladies! I walked home from work and then immediately walked to pick up the kids from school again yesterday. And I still got on the Wii Fit last night too. I actually broke even on my cals yesterday for the first time in ... I don't remember when! I'm not walking today since I have a hair appointment right after school lets out. But I still plan on getting on the Wii Fit tonight. I've decided that I will pick one nice day a week to walk home from work. I'm really feeling the extra exercise, but I'm also starting to see results! I weighed in Wednesday morning at 160.9, and this morning I weighed in at 159.6! Now I just have to keep momentum up over the weekend. I have a bad habit of weighing in a loss on Friday, but by Monday I've gained it back. I can do it! Now I just have to keep reminding myself of that! :laugh:

Good afternoon ladies!
Not really feeling in the mood, but I figured I needed to come on anyway and express it. Yesterday I didn't get to work out, so I was feeling horrible. I did get up this morning and shred L2, I will start L3 next week. I am ready for it! My eating today has not be the greatest. I love Lenny's subs. Has anyone else had them before? Oh and then their cookies. Ugg I feel like poo. I am almost to my calorie mark for the day, and I haven't even eaten dinner. I think if it still light outside when I get home tonight I might take a walk.
Clare...you did make me laugh..I needed it!!
Maybe we should incorporate funny things that we do or have seen to get those of us that need that extra boost and good one!!
I just hope that I get over this hump, I am really getting discouraged. I am going to go to the Dr in 2 weeks. I really want try a shed at least a lb or 2 before than. Baby steps right. I am going to talk to him about my weight loss. I am starting to get bothered by it. My mom is overweight and has bad back problems. She is very dependent on others around her. I am so scared that I am going to end up like her. I just wish that it was just as easy to lose the weight that it is to gain it.

what to make for dinner. son was going to take us out, now he changed his mind. i didn't have anything out (excuse #1). i do have some frozen pizzas (excuse #2). we could just go out (excuse #3). or i could defrost something and fix something healthy. i do have some frozen grilled chicken in there also. in fact i think that is what i am going to do.

I feel really bad - I wasn't going to give an update on my exercise this week until I knew I could take the time to read everyone's updates and personally respond to them as some of you wonderful gals do. But I still cannot find the time...but want to make myself accountable...so just coming on to say I've done at least 30 min every day this week. Tomorrow I'm planning on going for a very early morning outside run. Sunday, I'm honestly taking the day off. There's been a few days this week I have put in about an hours worth of exercise and my body is asking for a break. So after tomorrow, Sunday is my exersize "off" day so my body can recoop a little. I'm sure I'll be cleaning the house to get it ready for work the next day (I do in home daycare)...so I assume that works as exercise?

Thanks so much! They are feeling much better after giving them a nice break this week from long distance running. And thanks so much for the congrats. I had to LOL. I weighed at 179.8. Weeks Exercise:
Tuesday- 6 miles on treadmill (one hour)
Wednesday- Forced exercise as car wouldn't start, walked to pick kids up from school and then walked home carrying both their backpacks (total 2 miles).
Thursday- 60 minute boot camp class, 30 minute walker with kids outside, 60 minute kickboxing class.
Friday- Run for 30 minutes outside (finally nice weather) and 60 minute aerobic class.
Saturday- ***some type of running for 60 minutes, either outside or inside***
Sunday- ***some type of running for 60 minutes, either outside or inside***
Monday- ****30 minute run and 60 minute step class****
