Daily Calories:1200 (however I tend to eat between 1200-1400 most days)
Height: 5'2"
Current Weight: 118
Calories burned from Exercise: between 250-500 on most days with one wicked day of 600-800+ a week
I'm usually starvingggg if I eat 1200 calories so I am thinking of just trying to net around 1000, which would allow me to eat between 1300-1500 most days. I know that I should net 1200 but I think that my calories burned estimates from MFP are high and that when I measure my food it isn't EXACT so the 200 cals would be a little buffer0 -

Calories burned: 300-500 3-4 days per week.
Looks like we got some more underweight people. Don't know why anyone would think underweight is healthy. You're not getting your nutrients eating less than 1200 calories so most likely with aerobic exercise you are losing muscle not fat (your body doesn't have enough to spare). And the ones eating less than 1200 are already underweight. Enjoy your muscle loss!

Daily Calories: As long as I'm under 2000, I'm happy. I know lots of people think this is too high, but I have to do what's right for me. Restriction and dieting has gotten me no where.
Height: 5' 8"
Current Weight: 261
Calories burned from Exercise: I don't really count these, but I average 4 - 4.5 hours of exercise a week.
It's not high at all. I wore my HRM for 24 hours as a test (and this was on a lazy day. 5'2" and 125 at the time). I burned an estimate of 2300 in 24 hours.
I have to assume one of two things. You are a troll looking for reaction. Or, you are ignorant. I could go toe to toe with you all day, but it really is not worth my time. And I never argue with people who hide behind kittens

Couldn't have put it better myself!!!!!!!!!
I have to say that 99% of the people on here are supportive and sensitive to others and I for one think this site is amazing
....then there's the other1% of people who think they know it all! Just because they may have been successful in reaching their own goals theythink it gives them the right to lecture and dictate to others and metaphorically poke the people who need a bit of empathy and understanding with a big pointy stick!!!
Some people clearly don't have the intelligence or capacity to understand that it's not just about losing weight or gaining weight....there's a lot of stuff inbetween! some people have food issues or distorted self image issues and while we may not be able to solve those problems on this site, we can at least be supportive and offer encouragement and empathy!
What we don't need on here is spiteful, rude, tactless and hurtful comments or back handed 'advice'!!!!0 -

Charlie - Easy boy.
Just an FYI that 1200 is the "standard" however please keep in consideration that while this number is completely inappropriate for large men it is also off key for very small women. A petite woman under 5ft can easily survive and function on lower numbers. 1200 is a generalization.
Also - just a kind reminder that Disney is releasing "Bambi" from the vault this week. Please take a few moments out of your day to watch the movie and let the lessons sink in. "If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all..."0 -

carefull doll, if you go under 1200 the world will stop spinning and someone might call you anneorexic! or thats what the "oh so dependable know it all EXPERTS of MFP" will tell you anyway0 -
My beginning of the day calorie goal is 1480 but I eat at least 1/2 of my exercise calories back.
I am 5' 10"
current weight is 211.8
calories burned from exercise: 800-1000 daily. ( I run 3 miles when I wake up and walk on my lunch break, I run farther on weekends)0 -
Daily Calories: 1308 (I used the WebMD Food & Fitness Planner with the goal to lose up to 2 lbs a week)
Height: 5' 3"
Current Weight: 142.4
Calories burned from Exercise: ranges from 600 (my low impact days) - 2000 (my crazy days)
I usually eat/drink about 1/3 or more of my exercise calories.0 -
5'3, 119lbs goal is 1000. 1200 was just too much for me because my BMR was 1275.
Your BMR (according to MFP) is what your body would burn lying in bed in a comatose state. The moment you get up you are burning more. Stay above 1200 and read the links in my signature.
When you are already little (at a healthy weight) and you want to shed more fat then cardio won't quite do it. You need to lift weights! Muscles burn fat through the day.
My BMR is 1188 and I eat 1500 per day plus exercise calories and I'm losing.
ok, you sound like you know what you're talking about so i'm going to ask you. right now i'm 5'4" and 117. i fluctuate between 115 and 120. i'd like to get down to around 110 (no lower) and tone up. i've been consuming 1,200 calories a day and zero exercise (i'm going to be honest - i'm really just too lazy. i know i'm living in oz if i think this is going to happen without a spit of exercise, but what would you recommend?0 -
Daily Calories: 1250 (my vitamins are about 50 cals)
Height: 5'5"
Current Weight: 181
Calories burned from Exercise: I shoot for 350-500 (when I'm not sick)
I do not typically eat back my exercise calories.0 -
Daily Calories: 1230 (plus approx. 1/2 of exercise calories)
Height: 6'2"
Current Weight: 163
Calories burned from Exercise: 200 - 400 daily0 -
Daily Calories: 1250
Height: 5'1
Current Weight: 220
Calories burned from Exercise: 300-ish
And I eat my exercise cals because the 1250 is set to what I should eat to lose without exercising. If I'm exercising, I get to eat more.0 -

mind if I poke my nose in here?
The first question you need to ask is how you came to a goal of 110? And what does it get you when you get there? The reason I ask that is because at a certain point, weight is arbitrary and body fat percentage becomes the only true means of determining how much weight you should loose. If you're body fat % is low already, you shouldn't be trying to lose more weight. Assuming you are lightly active your daily maintenance is somewhere around 1750 calories, which means at the most, your deficit shouldn't be more than 250, in other words you should probably not be below about 1500 calories per day, NOT INCLUDING EXERCISE. If you're sedentary, then it's probably a little lower than that. Anyway, regardless, "toning up" is going to require resistance training two to three times a week, I.E. HIIT training, weight training, circuits, essentially anything anaerobic.0 -
daily calories 605, yes 605, lowered each week until I reach 'overweight', now only 10 more obese pounds to go, custom change the goal until reach the 2.1 pounds per week rate, BUT eating highest value foods, veg, berries, fiber one cereal, lots of fiber, taking sups for calcium and vitamin/minerals
height 5'2"
current weight 174.4
calories from exercise ZERO, hate exercise
I have aimed for the most nutritious freshest diet, I have not experienced the mythical starvation mode, I do not believe in it at all, but then I am not hormonally cycling,
I believe calories/calories out,
I do not believe in cheat days,
I plan special occasions, restaurant trips,
started August 1 and except for a few days at Christmas have been strict with myself,
I average 2 pounds per week, but then I was 250 when I started, those with less than 50 pounds to lose have my sympathy, I realize that soon it will be harder, much harder,
in 10 pounds when I reach 'overweight' I think I will maintain a bit raising my calories to lose 1 pound per week because I need to allow time for my fat to shift a bit, I think I will consider EXERCISE since it is really not such a bad thing,
and I can see the value in turning up the metabolism rate, but omg do I hate exercise!!!0 -
Daily Calories: 1,900
Height: 5'6"
Current Weight: 141
Calories burned from Exercise: 400 to 500/day, five or six days a week0
