OT: Bad Haircut!!! Argh!!!!

but dear ol Franklin (Graham) would probably not appreciate one of his security team 'hippying' it up.
lol..I definitely suffer from what some call the "sampson complex" My whole life i have barely ever cut my hair! All thru highschool i had hair past my butt, which i cut in college, but then decided to dreadlock my hair.
ive had my locks for six years and they are down to my butt. They are heavy but i love my hair just the same. Jeremy i guess its a good thing for me that I don't have a job like yours that wont let you 'hippy' up LOL Luckily God loves our hair no matter what we do with it!
Trust me Emily, if I had my way I would be pierced and tatted with my hair back to it's old 'hippy' length. (I used to love pulling the front back and letting the rest kinda just flow. I miss my old hair and piercings.... )0 -
i actually had a dream last nite about a new tattoo..it gave me some great ideas. they are so addictive, and the possibilities are endless! my next one, apparently according to my dreams, is going to be across my collar bones!0

That's awesome. Manda and I were actually talking last night about where I should get my next Tats. She suggested the neck...I want some neck tats!!! (STUPID WORK!!!)0 -
Don't worry about it girly... wash it and style it yourself and you'll probably like it more. Then make an appointment with your regular girl and get her to shape it up. Also, short hair ROCKS!!! (Yours isn't even what I consider short, anyway) Ya just gotta get use to it.
I'm sure you look beautiful AS USUAL!!! :flowerforyou:

It's okay, when you go back to your normal stylist, she will help get it back to the way you like it. I know I had it happen to me once. I never use to go to salons, and thought I would treat myself. This guy literally butchered my hair. And I told him so, his comment was, I don[t butcher hair I am a stylist. :indifferent: I paid and never went back.0

<---- Here is my hair TODAY! hehe!! I just got it done Thursday night! Love SHORT hair!!!
AJ - just slap you on some big earrings and sport that sexy cut! :drinker:

I'm so sorry that happened to you Honey!
No worries, it will be nearly grown out by the end of summer I bet! And it is still past your shoulders which is good!
My hair story: I had hair down to my waist and my then boyfriend wanted me to go blonde...so I had it bleached and colored...then we went to his brother's Birthday Party and went swimming...I didn't know you couldn't swim in a chlorinated pool when you had your hair processed...my hair started breaking off nearly at the roots...I ended up with a nearly male bootcamp head of no hair...It has taken me 5 years to get it back to where I am happy with it again.0 -

I was just looking at tattoo designs on the web yesterday...saw some artwork I really loved...you can purchase the designs direct from the site...I have an email to them asking if I can use their tattoo designs for beading patterns for costumes.
I'm scared to tattoo myself because my skin is leathery and I'm pretty sure the ink will bleed and feather...don't think I could hold a nice outline.
Hope you share your tattoo with us when you have it done!0 -
I hate my hair. (which is why I wear a hat most of the time)
I have like 4 cow licks and even on the good days it's pretty much just controlled chaos (I'm glad spikey 'messy' looks are kinda in style otherwise I would be in trouble).
It's impossible to find a haircut for me that looks decent and still professional when I have to be on the job. If it were up to me I would just grow it back out and wear it pulled back (ahh the good ol days) but dear ol Franklin (Graham) would probably not appreciate one of his security team 'hippying' it up.
I love your hair.
I love both your heads of hair...Love Your Love!0 -
BTW KRISKABOB: You're lookin' hot and I miss u! :sad:0

I have to agree w/ Soup and the other's....you're gorgeous!!! and I doubt very much you could ever look bad....but I do feel your pain w/ the bad haircut....I get sooo paranoid if I have to see a different stylist....its such an iffy thing...
I'm loyal too LOL...I have two that I frequent...one is close by the other not soo near at all...but near my old house....both are adorable gorgeous gay men and who I consider my good friends....and they KNOW about each other...lol...if I see one the last time....and the other is my next cut....he will always say something like...omg...what did HE do....rotflmao....but honestly both give me amazing cuts....so I'm lucky
I DID have a horrible experience once that made me gun shy....ever have a crown cut? I looked like freakin' rod stewart:noway: ....LMBO...it was bad....it took forever to grow it out and get over my phobia.
AND my hair is my security blanket too, you can't see it from my pics but it is down to my bra strap....my safe zone LMBO....I was thinking of doing it to my shoulders...but I'll chicken out I know LOL
I would love to see your pics w/ your new cut....and again...I know you'll look gorgeous!!
hugs!

Don't hate your hair! It looks quite handsome in all your pics (although come to think of it, you rarely see your hair.... hmm.....)0 -
Thanks again everyone!!! You all cheered me up!!!!
:flowerforyou:
KrisKabob - your hair rocks!!!! Mine is not like that at all. I need to get over it, right???
Ali, Skinnydreams, FatDancer, Lauren, and all.... thanks... once I did realize that I could style it myself, I felt better, and I think it does look a little more proffesional for business than did my long flowing hair (sniff... sniff...).
I'll post pics if I can ever figure out how to do it!!!
Thanks again for the support - you guys are the best (I wish you were all in Toronto and we could have drinks!!!)0 -
I don't know how to put a photo into a message, so my new profile pic is the new hair cut....
Everyone was right, now that I have styled it myself, I am feeling much better about it, and alas, it is just hair and will grow back.
Have a great weekend everyone, and thanks again for the support!
(... but isn't the hair on my 17 month old Vanessa pretty rockin!)0 -
Girl you are crazy!! you would be beautiful bald! so many said it before me, but the wonderful thing about hair - it grows back!!! Show off that beautiful face of yours and find a positive lesson from this experience!

Just Goregous and Allie... thanks for sharing your stories... so do you like your do's now? I feel as though I look 15 years old!!! (...when my son was first born, a woman in Starbucks asked if I was his mom or his nanny!!! I was wearing ballet flats, jeans, and a little tee, but come on people!!!)... :blushing:
Don't worry, I'm a 21 year old college senior and last month I went to a formal. While I was sitting in the nail salon (with my hair all put up) a lady came over, motioned to her daughter and said that her daughter was going to the eighth grade dance - was I going too?
*sigh*
And this only a week after someone asked me if the 16 year old boy on stage was my son... I just don't understand it!!0 -

Hahaha! 8th grade - now THAT is a compliment!!! Talk about youth...
Yeah, it can be crazy sometimes, but from your little pic, your figure looks fit and definitely youthful!!!
