I did it! I got into the 30's on my 5k!! 38:14! 6 minutes fastest than last time in Sept. Woot woot!! Had a great day! We even got to go fishing too Didn't catch anything, but enjoyed my time with Nick. Now it's time to relax and watch as few movies.0 -
So far so good this month! Down 2.3 lbs this week! Almost at my goal for Easter... maybe next week?! March is turning out to be a better month for me so far than February!0

Results from the 5k are in. My official time was 38:34 (which I still saw 38:14 when I crossed the line, but so be it) which I'm still beyond stoked that I did that much! And out of 209 people, I placed 115th Now to increase my speed a little more. I broke into the 30s, now I wanna hit 35. I got this!0

Hey gang. Not much of a loss last week but I've still met my March goal. Hopeing putting new batteries in my scales had something to do with the low number because I upped my workouts 4 out of 5 days this week.

Not a change really..with TOM and a bad eating weekend, I expected as much. I did start Insanity last week though so I'm hopefully that now the weekend of too many adventures out with restaurant stops will show a much better scale change!!0 -

I took a rough turn a couple weeks back and I'm still trying to get my butt back in gear... hoping to start up 30DS again or P90X .0 -
Congrats to everyone on their 5ks. I'm hoping to start training for one this year but I want to get down a bit, weight-wise, first.
I ended up caving and having a cheeseburger and a handful of fries from Five Guys yesterday. Getting ready for my TOM and I was craving a cheeseburger SO BAD. But back on track today - one meal does not kill a diet and I'm still really proud of the progress I've made.
Weigh in for me isn't until Thursday, so I'm not too worried about one bad meal.0 -

Amanda - how are you doing without that scale? I did great all weekend & didn't step on it! I'm really hoping I can make it all the way to Easter (since my peek on Fri). When I called my dad & told him I was a sinner - his response of course was "I know" :laugh: But anyway...he said he didn't care & was very proud of me & that I just need to keep doing what I'm doing & I'll get there. :bigsmile: I LOVE the support my family gives me! I can't wait till my mom & dad get home for Easter and to see if they notice any difference in my appearance. I haven't seen them since Christmas day!0 -

i've had an injury that is keeping me out of the gym but I am getting as much cardio as I can without it. Nothing lost this week (so far). I am hoping for 2 more lbs lost by March 31st. I hope I can get back to the gym this week!0 -

Yes I am still around. Life is a giant snowball going downhill. I just don't seem to have time to get in everything I want to get done. I got in a couple bike rides this past week and a 2 mile run so not the everyday I used to get in. Not sure where all my time seems to be going but not getting my workouts in like I want to.
That being said
March 1 starting weight 179.
March 8 weight 177.5 keep going.
March 15 weight 177.4 down a .1 not great but its going the right way
March 22 weight 178.4
Back up a pound. I am not surprised by this because along with being on the go and busy all the time my eating has suffered a bit .
I personally think it is spring fever. The snow pretty much melted last week and now it is raining and it is going to turn to snow and were supposed to get a couple of inches of the white stuff by Wednesday. I want to get out and play in the yard and run around the neighborhood.
Congrats to those who ran 5ks over the weekend.

Here I am, with my tail between my legs...
I've had a terrible few weeks, and haven't been posting. Overworked, Stressed, Overeating, Underexercising. However, I decided today was the end of it. I checked my home scale today, and surprisingly I was still at 152. I had a high protein breakfast, and plan on going to the gym today. I am scared to attempt my next C25k workout, which is W8D1: 28 min run. So, I might go easier on myself, and allow a few walking breaks if needed.
Sounds like my 5 lb friends are doing great! Congrats to all the 5k'ers. I may do one on April 17th, as a warm up for my 10k in May.0 -
Crappy week, food and exercise-wise. I told myself I was going to work out, and then I didn't. I got spoiled iwth the nice weather we were having - I was able to walk outside like four or five days in a row, and then it got cold and wet again and I didn't get back to my indoor workouts.
Still, I'm down 2/10 of a pound instead of up, and I have one more pound to lose before the end of the month, so I'm really going to stay focused this week as we close out March.

I haven't been doing a good job of staying away from the scale. I peeked this morning, and it reminded me why I need to stay away!! When I don't see the number I want to see, I think I MUST be doing something wrong. I start thinking of changes I need to make--- fewer carbs, less calories, more exercise. Before I know it, my net calories are in the negatiive! I have lost weight very quickly in the past doing that but have always gained it right back.
NOW I need to just keep doing what I am doing.... a balanced diet and exercise. I feel great about it, but that scale trips me up every time. I think I am going to have my boyfriend hide it somewhere and only bring it out every 2 weeks for me to weigh in.
Kelly--- I bet your family is really excited to see you, too! I am sure they will be impressed with your progress. Thanks for the no scale idea! I think it will really help me focus on what I need to do and eliminate a lot of stress in my life!0
