Hey Sylvia.... well done on getting into those size 12's! I also have a belly issue, my husband keeps on about when we are going to start trying for baby no 2, I showed him my belly, and told him number 2 will have to wait till I refind my stomach muscles! He needs help I think coz he said he finds my mummy tummy sexy and soft. Hmmmmmmm.... reckon he is after something!

HAHA! Well I'm not having anymore, he's been done. LOL. So i'm determined to have a flat tummy by summer time at least. I agree on finding those stomach muscles before trying again. My two have a 2yr 2mth gap between them. Its hard work but well worth it x

Think my stomach muscles went missing in action years ago and if i find them it would be a miracle lol i got 3 girls all by section so i dont think ill ever have a nice flat tummy.I got in to some 12s today but think they must be a big 12 lol but its amazing how getting in to another size makes you feel great :) x

Yep... we may have to lay on the bed and breathe in as much as possible, but as long as I am in those size 12s, unable to exhale or bend over.... we are happy ladies! Ahhhhh these kids are sooooooooooo worth it! I hear hear the sounds of mine stirring now for his first feed of the night, oh joy! X x
  • Hey hey, here are my stats for Week 3, as I'll be out for most of tomorrow and can't access the forums properly from my phone (luckily I can still get to my diary so I can keep up with that):

    Starting weight: 179.5lbs
    Week 1 weight: 177.5lbs
    Week 2 weight: 176lbs
    Week 3 goal: 175lbs
    Week 3 weigh: 175lbs (woo!)

On the mile challenge, I've walked/jogged 10.1 miles this week (well, I will do once I've done my walk for this evening; I will let you know if I don't do it and adjust my results accordingly).

Looking forward to Week 4; I've decided to be a bit adventurous and set my target weight for next week at 173lbs. Eep!

Well done Stace - you are doing so well. :flowerforyou:

 at the stomach muscles thingy. I'm the same. Mine went missing once I had DD and stopped ice skating.

Running has got rid of the extra stomach blobbiness though by my thighs (do you know where I mean). I'm feeling slimmer and I'm under 10st for the first time in ages as well so small victory I suppose.

Sorry ladies I don't think I'll lose this week. I've put on a pound (due to CAKES/PUDDINGS/BREAD) but I have done the challenge. I'll do my proper weigh in tomorrow morning though. :ohwell:

    Hia Gracie :flowerforyou:

Dont worry evies i doubt i have aswell. My scale looks like its refusing to move, now im wondering if i eat enough.. i feel ok with what i eat not hungry but i dont ever eat any exercise calories back and wonder if thats coming back to bite me on the bum now lol.Do any of you eat your exercise calories ? If it dont move by weigh in tomorrow i might cry hahah noo but i might have a week end of shocking my metabolism by eating more and then go back to strict from Monday or maybe up calories for a week by 200.Gets frustrating tho when you work hard all week and it refuses to move :o/ xx
  • Thanks guys :)

On the exercise calories thing; I tend to eat about half of them back, but only when I'm hungry. It sems pointless to exercise and then eat them all back, plus we all know that MFP isn't exactly reliable in it's calorie burn calculations, so I'd hate to think I was eating back more calories than I really had burned.

Gonna have a struggle this weekend as I'm off out twice, but I'm trying out yoga on Sunday so hopefully that'll do me some good :) I can't wait to see how we're doing in the grand scheme of the challenge :)

I quite often eat back my exercise calories as on the whole I go by the gym machines and they are lower than the mfp exercise calorie count. I honestly can't cope on much less than 1500, if I have less than that I wake up hungry in the night and get obsessive about food all day. I don't know if this is because I am still breastfeeding, but do allow 300 extra calories for that. I figure that even if I am not loosing anything through eating back he calories, I am still toning muscles. I am a great believer in the starvation mode thing, your body needs those calories or it will just hold onto the little food you eat to fuel it.
Just recently I have got the end of dinner and still feel hungry, must increase the protein, I'm sure that makes a difference

See you for weigh in in the morning! X

    Morning everyone :drinker:

Checking in for week 3 weigh in.

Going by my ticker I've stayed the same

I did the challenge - I think I did 6 ish miles this week.

Next weeks target to lose 2lb I'm going to start going to nearest pound I think so its easier. So from 138 to 136.

Zeeba, amazing! Already completed the 7 week challenge with 10.2lbs lost since we started! Well done Eviesmum for loads of miles too!

My check-in.... now 162, so 1 pound down this week. Goal next week is 2 pounds and I am not going to indulge in pizza and McDonald's this week! I did around 3.5 miles this week but am off for a walk with my ma in a bit and we usually do 2 miles, so will submit 5.5 miles later if we do it.

Well done all so far x x

    Everyones doing really well.

I wonder what the next challenge will be? I can't believe it will be week 4. Where is all the time going!
  • Unless my yoga class from yesterday counts, I'm probably not gonna be able to do this weeks challenge. The only class other than the yoga one that runs by me that I want to try is Zumba, but it's today and a) I ache too much from yesterday to do anything tonight and b) I've already planned to record a podcast tonight anyhoo. Sorry guys.

I stopped going to classes as running is free, but I'll try and do a Zumba class this week sometime just to complete the challenge. I don't want to let Team UK down :flowerforyou:

Think I may let the side down this week, my son is still really poorly so my usual session at the gym today didn't happen and that's the only time I can get a babysitter during the day, the rest of the time I exercise with the baby... walking and swimming. Am off out for a 'date' with my husband tomorrow night, our first night out for months. We usually go for a calorie laden meal.... oh dear!

Hope you all have a good week x
  • Holy crap, Thursdays always roll around so quickly...

Not expecting to hit my 2lb loss target this week; despite the yoga class and being quite good calorie-wise all this week, Saturday I had a major MAJOR overdose on food and probably undid a lot of the good work I've been doing these past few weeks. Harumph, stupid me. Still, I know what I need to do to get back on track, I just have to be very careful this weekend; we're having a whiskey party at my house! Luckily I don't like whiskey and bought some Weight Watchers wine to stop me getting jealous of everyone else getting drunk, but the danger lies in the fact that two people are baking cakes for the event. YIKES. Might just have the world's smallest lunch that day so I can have a slither of cake in the evening!

Sorry guys, I've failed the challenge part of this week, but weight wise is going to be good I think :-)
  • Gonna post my weigh-in today again, due to mad busy-ness tomorrow:

    Starting weight: 179.5lbs
    Week 1 weight: 177.5lbs
    Week 2 weight: 176lbs
    Week 3 weight: 175lbs
    Week 4 goal: 173lbs
    Week 4 weight: 175lbs

    1 class attended (yoga)

I am so, so disappointed, you wouldn't believe. Although I set my goal for a 2lb loss this week, I would've been happy to lose just 1, as I would then have hit the 50lb loss milestone. I'm quite surprised too, because although I did have a major pig-out last Saturday, every other day this week I've stayed within my calories, and I did yoga, went to the gym once, and did a little walking (in replacement of a gym trip due to achey yoga muscles!) I thought I'd at least lose a little :( Been doing a bit of crying this morning, I just feel so downbeat now. And I'm even more terrified about tomorrow's house party now I've seen what one bad day can do to your week :(

Oh stacebob, please don't cry... are you sure it's not tom water weight? Sounds like you have done the right things, one day shouldn't cause a gain... maybe it is those pesky scales, or gravity in your bathroom is slightly higher than elsewhere this week. Get back on the horse next week and enjoy your party. A stray pound or two does not make a fail x x
P.s I may have lost weight this week, not coz I have been saintly, more because I have had a tummy bug which saw me putting in some quality time with the rubbish reading material in my bog x x

    chin up stacebob,

Look at the amount of weight you've lost so far. You're doing great.

I've not had a great week either, but here are my details for week 4 as I have a busy weekend too:-

    week 3 weight 141lbs
    week 4 goal 138lbs
    week 4 weight 140lbs

I managed to walk 10.3 miles this week

Stace don't get upset hun we all have weeks where we don't lose but you didn't gain so its a good thing>If it was me id enjoy myself tomorrow and jump back on it Sunday, up your exercise a bit if you can and drink loads of water, you might have a good loss next week to make up for this week :) x

Aww Stace - don't worry - one bad week isn't the end of the world. Start again and keep positive. You've done so well so far, just look at how much you've lost already - that is just inspiring to me. :flowerforyou: Also as has been stated you didn't put on did you? I had a blip week last week and although it's disappointing at the time you've got to keep positive.
