So I may be just getting all bent out of shape about the numbers.. But on a daily basis I am not meeting my calorie goal ( Under it..)
I am a male 5'9 218 lbs ( as of this morning) and have been stuck here for a while ..
My exercise include 6 days a week of p90x and on the strength resistance days(Mon, wed, and fri) I also throw in a 1 hour jog around the neighbor hood ( about 4 miles burning 500-700 calories pending on my speed ).
My Daily in take goal is 1410 ( which does seem a little low for the amount of exercise but I am still not meeting it..
My Daily intake is this.
Water = 6-9 glasses a day
Breakfast = 3 egg white, 3 slices of turkey bacon, 1 glass of v8 juice
Snack 1 = fringo Cheese head light string cheese
Lunch = Healthy Choice Steamer ( various dishes ranging from 240 - 350 calories per meal ), 1 whole medium banana
AFTER WORK OUT SNACK 2 = usually a protein shake made up of some type of fruit 2 scoops of Protein powder ( 300 cal ) Light soy milk base or just water... Shake varies between 400 and 500 calories
Dinner = Consists of various meals that usually range from 300 - 400 calories
Bed....
So the obvious answer I think is I am not eating enough and my body is going into starvation mode... Do you think I am right ? Help me with some ideas on what I can do to up my Calorie intake..
Thanks !!

If you are doing P90X you should never go below 1800 cals/day (lowest intake on the diet guide). You don't have to eat more food to eat more calories just eat more calories-dense food. Nuts/seeds, and dehydrated fruit, eat higher fat % milk, cheese, yogurt. add olive oil to soups and sauces. Add avocado to salads and sandwiches. eat nut butters. Have a glass of juice instead of 1 glass of water.0

That seems really low in calories for being male and at that weight. I'm 160 lb female my calories are set at 1400, I add more calories when I work out!0

Agreed technically Per Beach body I should be eating around 2200( lvl 2 calories) which seems a little crazy to me
Question though, what are Nut butters...
All suggestions much appreciated.0 -

Nut butters are peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, tahinni, pumpkin seed butter, macadamia nut butter, etc.0
