    Let's get nostalgic!

My mom used to pack my brother and I sandwiches made with white bread, butter and sugar! We'd also have some fruit juice, Dunkaroos and Goldfish crackers for snacks. I also remember taking a pack of dry instant noodles, adding the seasoning, vigorously shaking and crushing the bag, and eating them like chips.
I cannot believe the crap I used to put in my body!

I look at the things my parents eat now and the things I ate then. It hasn't changed at all.

    White bread.
    White rice.
16 oz servings of red meat, such as a fatty ribeye.
Coffee or iced tea loaded with sugar.
    Yoplait yogurt.
    Butter.
    Animal milk.
    High sugar cereals.
    Pop.
Fast food. Fast food. Fast food.
The list goes on and on.

My father always told me how "fat" I was growing up but yet, my parents have no concept whatsoever of what "healthy" food is. It's shocking to me to see the things they put into their bodies and how I used to eat.

    Never again.

my mom was Irish and dad was Italian, so we had a variety of foods when they were together. I can remember my lunches consisted of PBJ, banana and carton of milk. Thinking about how jealous I was of the other kids eating school lunch which was a slice of white bread, tomato sauce and slice of American cheese.............this was PIZZA day!!
