6-week challenge: Spring into Fitness

Ok, so I read the challenge too late! I had already gotten Chinese for lunch (I KNOW - Its horrible) and then I got a subway salad for dinner. I am hoping they balance each other out cause my salad was incredibly healthy!!!
As for the walking, I did 30 min of interval training on the treadmill, on top of my other exercising, so I hope that counts!!!
I hope everyone is having a great day!0 -
I would like to join if I am not too late!

I was all about jumping on board when a colleage was going out for a bagel, then I remembered our challenge, and decided I would stick with my weight watchers mexican soup (which incidentally is AMAZINGLY good and under 100 cals for 2 cups!). Victory!!0

woop woop thats real lucky i done the challange today before i knew what it was! swoosh i was worried for a moment0

I love the challenges!!! I don't have alot of extra time in the day for an extra 15 min walk, seeing as I have a 4 month old and work full time, but it's starting to get pretty outside and we have an extra hour of daylight now, so maybe i can push the stroller for 15 min a few times this week?! I plan on cleaning house tonight before my workout, so I'll count that as 15 min of walking and then some!!! (i run around like a crazy person when i clean!)
and i'll do great on the no eating out thing! b/c we don't have it in our budget to do that for the next two weeks thanks to an extremely high utility bill!0 -

Hi All,
Just checking in on everyone for the day, and checking myself
My body is reeling from a really bad TOM, so I'm taking it easy on the exercise tonight...seems to have made it worse, from last night  Maybe will take a little walk to the store...maybe.
BUT, I did already make my lunch for tomorrow, so I'm doing great with the no 'grab-n-go' meals!!
Hope everyone had a great day!! Happy Wednesday!!0 -
Wow, I have a few things to report on today. First thing's first: this week's challenge:
walking- 2/7 days (I'm counting yesterday's jogging in place, and I walked 30 mins tonite in addition to my pilates)
not eating out: 2/7 days (this is particularly rewarding since I turned down a bagel from my fav bagel shop)
Feeling good; strong start!
I am starting to set up our spreadsheet for tracking weights for our challenge. There is a lot of initial interest in our challenge, which is SOOOOOOOOOO great. But, as much as I hate to admit it, I know there will be a little attrition (hey, life just happens, so we just have to accept that no everyone can stick with it for various reasons. no hard feelings ). So here's the deal: people who miss 2 weeks worth of weigh-in consecutively, will be taken off the spreadsheet. I learned last time, it's just too hard to do the numbers with lots of people on it who have left us. Of course, I hope that no one leaves, but just in case....
For those of you who were with us for our 30-day challenge, I have finally posted our loss numbers. For the 16 people who stuck out the 30 days, we showed an 84.6 lb loss. That's an average of 5.3 lbs per person. In just under 4 weeks, I say: ROCK ON!!!!!!! Great momentum for coming into this challenge!0 -

@miskim - my trick as a working mom to an infant as well, is similar to yours. I jog while cleaning, even in place to load dishwasher, fold laundry, etc. Sometimes I even jog in place while my baby is in the bath (but that's easier as mine is much older). If I have to do chores, I might as well burn cals at the same time!0 -
It's not too late for me to join, is it? I'll start tomorrow, only 2 days behind.
So, um, wow, I've never written out my weight to strangers before (this is my first post too, how exciting!)

I had a really good day today until tonight. I made breakfast, lunch, and dinner - brought lunch and a snack to work. I went on a 45 minute walk outside even thought it was almost raining. I was really proud of all that. I went out with some of my friends tonight, and I wasn't going to get anything to eat, but my boyfriend kept asking me if I wanted to share an appetizer with him, and after the third or fourth time, I caved. I had some of his nachos, and not only did I break my own rule of not eating out, but I'm sure I went over my calories with those few bites (don't know the exact nutritional data). Oh well. Tomorrow is a new day!0

thanks for setting this up oliviawink hope I can reach my goal0

Good morning everyone~ I'm just checking in. I didn't feel well last night after working out and didn't even feel like eating dinner. I don't know what was wrong but I was so sick to my stomach. I made myself eat a bowl of cereal anyway but even with that my calories were way down for the day. I completed the Leslie Sansone's walk at home bootcamp which I was proud of myself for doing. Until yesterday, I hadn't even made it halfway. The challenge though pushed me to do it. Feeling somewhat better today and the sun is shining which makes a big difference:) Good luck to everyone today~0
-
So I messed up already. Chickfila was giving away free chicken biscuits today, and co-workers can be such a bad influence. Anyway, I ate the chicken and half of the biscuit, but I did bring my lunch and fruit for snacks so I shall redeem myself. SN: I did walk 15 mins this morning, and I am going to walk another 15 mins after lunch.0

No eating out for me this week so far! So far, so good! This challenge is good...I have found myself eating out whenever we are out and about and I don't like to do it. I hate to be disappointed when I get home to log it, even if I tried to make the healthier choice at wherever we went, I still don't like feeling out of control about it.
As far as the walking...I have done it everyday so far this week...today I dusted off the 30 Day Shred and whewwww!!! After that I did 30 minutes of my Walk Away the Pounds dvd...it felt good! The shred just wore me out though but I did get all the way through!
Good luck today everyone!0 -
The sun is back after a rainstorm that prevented walking outside yesterday, so I'll get a 45 minute walk in today before work.
Tomorrow is going to be a challenge, since we're having a St. Patrick's Day potluck at work. I WILL NOT drink the soda, and I WILL eat the veggies, salad, fruit, make a sensible choice of entree, and watch my portions.0 -
