30 Day Shred - first day......

Day one today of the torture that is the 30 Day Shred - somebody PLEASEEEEEEEEE tell me that it actually works and that they have lost a decent amount of weight from it?!!!

I just completed the first day - Level One of course - and I literally feel dead! My body is killing and I just hope it blooming well works!!!

Hoping to hear some good success stories because of this DVD - I dont fancy pushing myself through that every day for a month if it really doesnt help many people!!!

  • My first full week of shred AND upping my water intake? Lost 5.2lbs
    Not as much the 2nd, but I did lose inches.
    It does get easier, (around day 5 for me), I couldnt walk right for the first 3 days LOL

    THEN I started level 2
    It wasnt as bad
    Stick with it!

    I haven't tried it myself but my daughter did it - and had amazing results!

    I just started level 2. I'm 12 days in and have lost about 6lbs and 10 inches! It does get easier so just stick with it! The first few days you'll probably be really sore, I found if i did it again it made me not as sore. I hate Jillian during it, but then about 20 minutes after I'm done I love it. It makes me feel good to know I can get through it, and it just makes me feel better. Good Luck with it!!

    I am starting this too!!! I have done it in the past, but never stuck with it. I remember it being quite intense though!

    the first pic eas taken 2 days before I started, the middle one on day 10, and the final one on day 28. I lost about 11 pounds total this month and crazy inches (I was stupid and didn't take initial measurements). I also did about 20 minutes on the treadmill everyday in addition to the Shred to help burn some additional fat.

    It is definitely worth it! Good Luck

    Wow, thats amazing Lisa!! How inspiring!!

    I've just got the dvd too. Did level one a few days ago and my abs were killing me. Did it again today and it's gotten a little easier. Hoping to stick to it every day from now on. Fingers crossed!

    Great job!

    Today will be Day 14 for me. I have not lost any weight but in all reality I wasn't expecting to as I am extremely slow at that but I was hoping to lose more inches by now. I have taken my measurements and they haven't changed as much as I would have liked. Actually I can't find anywhere that I have lost any, however, I do think that my small "apron" area is tightening a little so I guess I have to be happy with that. I will stick with it for the 30 days and hope that things make a big change in the next two weeks.

    ww - there are some great stories here- it all sounds really positive! Good Luck everyone that does it - as it hurts! But from Lisa's pictures- it's worth it!!!

    Thanks everyone! I did level 1 & 2 for a week each, I'd say that the magic happens on level three. It definitely kicks your butt but when you can keep up with Natalie instead of Anita it definitely puts a smile on your face. Good luck to everyone!

    Well done Lisa, you look phenomenall! I've just got back from the gym after you inspired me to do 40 mins on the crosstrainer (instead of sitting on my bum during lunch) and will be raiding my DVD collection to find my copy of the 30DS.

    I finished the Shred a few months ago, but I did it for 2 months instead of 30 days (took me a little longer to work up to level 3 because I started the dvd 6 weeks post baby so I had to go easy lol) and it works! I stupidly did not take a before pics or measurements but put it this way....I didn't not follow a rigid diet because I was breastfeeding and needed the calories, but I now weigh 10lbs less than I did when I got pregnant! Since finishing, I have started a couple of her other dvds and I still incorporate the shred a couple of times a week into my dvd rotation. I love it!

    Absolutely works! Lost inches and about 6 pounds in first month. Went from 161 to about 155. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to get through in just 4-5 days!!

I'm on day 13 and not really noticing much change at all :( Maybe the closer I get to the end, I'll notice something. I just started level 3 yesterday (only b/c I dont like L2)! Here's hoping that 17 more days will make a change...

    This makes me want to go out and get the DVD.... I like the soreness because it makes me feel like I did something! How long are the daily workouts?

    my first day was yesterday too!!! She doesn't kick your butt, she makes you kick your own!!! lol
    my son did it with me and was such a help! he did all three levels... show off.

    Oh and may I add that yes, each level does get easier as time goes on but if you really want to see results, don't settle for easier...PUSH YOURSELF! If it's getting easier, then you're not busting enough *kitten*! :blushing:

    I finished day 9 last night (Level 1) and some of the moves are getting almost too easy (some, not all LOL!). I was dying the first few days. I'll be moving on to level 2 on day 11. We'll see how that goes. I'm much more toned. I got on the scale about 5 days in and saw a weight gain, which I hear is not uncommon for the first few days, so I decided to lay off of the scale for while since I can really feel that something good is happening to my body. I'll let you kow how it goes if I can find this thread again.

    I've noticed a few minor changes but nothing drastic - I am nearly finished on L2 and move to L3 on Thursday so I haven't got too long to go! I would say my abs are a bit more toned....? Even though I can't do one of the exercises because it really hurts my back, so I have to cheat and do different crunches than the ones on the DVD.

    did you take your measurements? I'm only on day 3 it is getting a little easy, I have notice my clothes are not as close tom my body, I will take my measurements tonite as well as take a pic
