HIGHLAND GAMES!!!

Welp I'm kilted and I'm rarin' to go.

Manda and I will see ya'll later after I toss a huge pole, wrestle a hairy scotsman to the ground, and indulge my copious amounts of haggis.

(sounds like a Shannon/Phatsis date huh?)

See you lads and lasses later!!!

It's a quote from Burns' poem about a haggis--I think J would recognize it.

    calatibo,

See by your profile that you're a rugby player. Unfortunately, we here in the States have not, for the most part, discovered this great game! I LOVE RUGBY! If I wasn't so old and beat up, I'd find some team to play on. As it is, I try to catch it on the rare occasion they broadcast a game here or I'll keep up on the major tournaments on the 'net. I've come to love the All Blacks the best. Got a good friend who is from South Africa and a 'Boks fan, so we're always goading each other.

you wont be happy that SA beat your ABs by 2 points this morning then

I think viewers in the US would have had more chance to watch Scotlandrecently then us Scots did. Tour or Argentina was only shown by ESPN and coverage of the Churchill Cup in Canada did not make it across here either. Of course, being Scottish i don't get to watch much real rugby anyway, we have been fairy poor recently.

    :ohwell:

Old and beat up is how i describe myself too, but i missed playing so much that i patched up the broken bits and tape up the rest so that i could trundle back onto the pitch to play socially, not many season left in this beaten up body so will enjoy it while i can.

Surprised I haven't heard some crowing from my buddy yet then--thanks for the news. Good or bad, it's still rugby!

second game of the tri-nations, the All Blacks won the first game against SA 19-8. This defeat is the ABs first at home in 10 years and ends their 30 home game unbeaten run.

Can't wait to see this kilted highlander, need action shots of the caber toss and the hammer...the ladies might just find out the anwer to THAT question in those pictures.
