I started my weight loss about 6 weeks ago and when i put in my goals i had it set that i was lightly active. Now 6 weeks and a little over 8 lbs lighter do i change my goals to active? I go walking every morning and am way more active throughout my day.

No. That setting does not count your exercise activities, all the more walking stuff should be logged as your exercises. In the goal the level is based on your non-exercise activity level, like me working in front of computer as my job.

I hope you are logging your exercises, right?

I have mine set at sedentry because I have a desk job even though I am WAY more active now I have not changed this, my husband has a construction very physical job so his is set at the highest activity level. This setting is for your non-exercise time, what is your day typically like?
I would not change it and just log your activity as extra exercise.

well, I mean if you are saying that you're more active throughout the day as opposed to just being more vigorous in your exercise, then yes, you would up your activity level. But if you're just talking about doing more with your exercise, then no, you wouldn't up your activity level.

There are two activity sections in your goals:

    1) Normal Daily Activity (Sedentary, Lightly active, etc.) - this should NOT include any exercise. How active are you on a day-to-day basis? If you have a desk job and drive to work, and don't do a ton of walking around, you're probably sedentary. If you are a carpenter or construction worker who is physically active all day as part of your job, you're likely very active... If you do a lot of light activity (walking around, etc.) that you don't count as exercise, then you probably would be "lightly active". This setting DOES affect your calorie goal.

    2) Exercise Goals (calories burned per week, # of sessions a week, and minutes per session) - this does NOT impact your calorie goal, but shows up on your exercise log as something to aim for. You should log all your exercise on the exercise log. I repeat - your calorie goal does NOT change based on your exercise goals, but only when you actually log your exercises on a daily basis. This way, if you plan to workout 5 days a week for an hour a day, but only make it 3 days this week, you won't be penalized for not working out - you'll still be on track to meet your goal.

I am a stay at home mom. I have a 11 month old baby that is crawling around all over the place now :)
I just think overall i am more active for example instead of driving i walk to pick up my son from kindergarden (which i don't log as activity)
