Back down to my lowest... 182. 62 pounds lost... 13 to go. 169 here I come. I had put on a few pounds over the course of my vacation, and those are gone again...

Thanks in part to a friends challenge to exercise 2000 minutes in the month of July... which I accomplished today... 8 days ahead of schedule. I averaged just under 88 minutes a day.

Why not try this for the month of August?! Or perhaps, shoot for 1000! :-)

Come on! You can do it. - Scott
  • You look really great! Congratulations.

I love long bike rides. This morning... 36 plus miles in 2.5 hours. Love the burn. Now I can pretty much eat anything I want all day. :-)

OK... so maybe not ANYTHING I want. But it is rewarding to work out hard, and not be restricted to 1240 calories in the day.

I'm a bit of a slow burner myself. I'm 5ft 10in and my avg monthly weight loss is 2-4lbs. I often read the success stories and see others losing 10-25bs per month. Wasn't until last night on Twitter, somebody posted a tweet that may have put my 'slow' weight loss into perspective. She tweeted that she lost 100 pounds, yet only went down 2 dress sizes. I on the other hand, only lost 18 lbs so far and I've gone from a size 16 in business attire to the 8-10 range *shrugs*. So expedient weight loss is NOT for me, and I'm totally ok with that.

I know it's a long struggle... but with a little focus, and encouragement from friends... you WILL prevail. :-)

The comments from people are really starting to flow now. Nearly every day. Not that I'm looking for complements.... but it is an interesting reward / side-effect of the hard work.

It took me over a year to lose 20 pounds. Slow and steady wins the race. There are so many advertisements and diets trying to get people to take it off quickly. People forget, it didn't come on quickly. I could be a spokesperson for the "slowest loser". LOL You will get there!
  • awesome! keep it up!!
