Eating out

Hello. Just thought I'd share this, apologies if you already know but I was quite impressed. Went to a Harvester last night and they have the calories value next to each item on the menu, even the salad dressings. Made logging the meal very easy!! Ideal !!:smile:

    Yea for definate!! I think a lot of people that aren't dieting don't realise what they are eating, so would certainly educate people.

    Panera is the same way and they have an awesome free rewards program.

    It's mandated that they do that in any restaurant chain in NYC where there is a posted menu board.....wish every city followed suit!

    Just hope the uk follows suit !! You can look stuff up online for some restaurant chains ... Saves on all the guess work when you eat out!

    My mom shared with me last night that the FDA has proposed that by 2012 all restaurants (with sone exceptions) will be required to post calorie info. Here's a news article about it. I think that's fantastic!

    On the topic my wife and I went to Applebees for steak dinners off their under-550 calorie menu. Great that they had it posted, and great that they had reasonably-sized offerings as well.
