Just a friendly reminder. We are to argue about cheat days vs no cheat days, or eating exercise calories vs not eating exercise calories. The mac vs windows, ford vs chevy, emacs vs vi debates can be rehashed elsewhere. :laugh:0

Nope this is appropriate for here....which has better quality HD porn?0 -

If you have a big enough air tight container and some gel silica packs that should dry out your laptop. It works for cell phones too.
And if you plan to watch HD porn, you need to go for quality porn and not the amature porn due to the up close shots, bad wax jobs and what not. I'm just saying...0 -
Binary_Jester, that's what I've been saying for YEARS. Macs are nothing more than overpriced PCs. You can take a cheap PC and upload all of the Mac software and pretty much make it a Mac for next to nothing, or you could spend your hard earned money on an overpriced PC and they even offer to sell you Microsoft software double of what Best Buy will sell it to you for...
But I let people buy what they want and laugh to myself later.
It's like the people that insist that Lexus is better than Toyota because they paid $30k more for it...0 -

Well, yes water and electrical circuits/boards tend to not mix well, but a Mac will not defeat that standard.
The reason people are fed up with Windows based systems are the fact that most companies that mass produce them sold out to corporate America and wanted that massive profit. Dell for one hasn't used new parts in any of their new systems in years and thus the reason they can sell you a "high end" computer for $900 when 10 years ago that system would have been over $2500. It is destined to fail and thus why they charge out the *kitten* for extended warranties, and also why they have such great tech support as it has to be utilized in the first 1-2 years.
Now, spending 4,000 on a high end Mac is dumb, you are not getting any better hardware as many like to praise. Since Apple started using Intel and ATI, you are getting the same hardware that is in a Windows based machine; it is a waste of money.
If you want a computer done right, the only way is to have it custom built. You know you are getting quality new parts that are going to last. I had a computer that I built myself in high school, and I used it for 6 years without any issues, and with me being a gamer I put my hardware through the ringer.0 -
^ As always with any technology if you want out on the bleeeding edge you are going to pay for it. Stay one or two steps behind and you'll get a price break and possible fixes and patches to go along with the 'older' hardware/software.
So it has always been, so shall it always be...0 -
I have quite a few friends that have them and I never hear them complain about anything....plus they seem to last longer
Thats what she said.
LOL
The only people that I ever hear say anything bad about Macs (except for how much they cost) are people who've never tried one.
I was a DIEHARD PC person forever. Finally got fed up with the constant reboots, patches, system slowing down after a year and having to nuke & reload....bought a Macbook a couple years ago and haven't regretted it for a second! Well maybe for a second after my wife spilled coffee on it and fried it and I had to pay $750 for the repair...but totally worth it imho. I love my Macbook. I'll never buy another PC.0
