I found this awesome recipe for banana chocolate chip cookies. It says it makes 3 dozen but i actually only got 2 dozen out of it (3 dozen and the cookies would be far too small for me)

    1/3 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt

Holy YUMM sounding! Bump...do you think they might work with whole wheat pastry flour to add fiber?
    1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (i used ghirardelli 60% cacao baking bar, smashed into bits)

    Directions
In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, banana and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray..

Bake at 350° for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 3 dozen.

made this with my kidlets today... yummy and easy. Although we didn't have enough chocolate chips, so I added butterscotch chips, raisins, and flaked coconut to even out the 6 oz amount. We really cleared out the pantry on this one........

Why not use Splenda in place of sugar and cut down on the chocolate chips - to reduce the calories?
