Just checking in.
Well, I think the scale is starting to discourage me. I haven't seen a loss in weeks! I'm starting to get a little p'd off. I really thought I'd be at goal by now, seeing that I started in January. Jeez, even 6 pounds a month would have been good, that would have gotten me to 48 pounds by now. It's coming off way too slow. I'm not eating bad and doing more cardio then I ever have done.
:grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :explode: :explode: :explode:
Yup, that's where I am right now.
A little angry. And the measuring tape really hasn't changed either. Because apparently I'm not building muscle or losing inches.0 -
meeee tooo jbar. I have been at about 160 give or take for so long now that i am starting to wonder its TLT (the last ten) its always the hardest...and i guess now that we are closer into the healthy range, it is harder to trick our bodies into losing!
as everyone on here has told me, Jen, its muscle!!!0 -
oh and btw i am not losing inches either..im starting to wonder if that is a true gauge also..all of my measurements are the same, BUT i feel like my upperarms/thighs are at least looking tighter, even if they are still the same number around...discouraging i know0
-
Jen & Emily - I am right there with you, girls! The scale has gotten stuck lately; I am losing and gaining the same pound or two over and over. And yet, I FEEL good - working out and getting stronger. I ran for 30 minutes earlier this week, and I can ALMOST do 10 regular (plank-style) pushups now. Everything is going great, except... I haven't lost the weight! Not sure about the measurements - I only measure once a month now because I got too discouraged hoping for a change within 2 weeks. So I'll measure again after Labor Day.
Next week I PROMISE to start logging my calories religiously again if I still don't see a consistent loss. :ohwell: I wonder if I should consider the "kill your scale challenge". It's definitely times like these where we all have to focus on the "non-scale victories"...
So here's one - at the grocery store today, my husband reached one arm around my waist and picked me up! There's no way he could have done that 45 pounds ago! And you gals are all looking great in your pictures (Jen, Em, Sindy, buckeye, anyone else I missed) - keep it up!0 -
very bad girl today had pancakes for breakfast, but I can save myself with extra exercise. I have been so good it feels great to get rid of a craving I have been depriving myself of. My son is really happy he can have some for breakfast almost all week. I freeze them and put them in serving size.
Cp you should take a new picture. I am sure you are looking great as well. Keep up the good work everyone. Have a great day. :drinker:0 -
ive been a bad girl lately, not logging and eating junk!!! but i do feel like crap about it!
Julies wedding is less than a month away, so it is time to buckle down! I can't let it sneak up on me!!
I did, however, get to go meet up with Sarge and Manda, so that was great! you can see the pics i took on the thread called "JerManda Spotted"
off to zumba i go! this is the week to get back on it!!0 -
Did not loose anything this week, but did not gain. Hopefully I dont go back into a plateau. Glad you had a great time Em. Dont worry you will look fantastic for the wedding. :drinker:0

Yay - I was 162.6 this morning! My lowest reading so far!  Now, I don't know if it's "real" yet (I went ahead and logged 163.6 - 1 pound more - as my "check-in" weight for the week), but it made me happy. Even if it is the higher number, that's still 1.5 lbs!
I am back on the calorie counting/food logging wagon. And I changed my goal from 2lb/week to 1lb/week - so I get to eat 1390 calories instead of 1200. We'll see how it goes for the next week! I think as we are all getting closer to our goals (I have less than 5 pounds to go until I am no longer 'overweight' according to the BMI scale), it just gets harder - our bodies really want to have that extra cushion! I am hoping that eating a bit more and switching up my routine a bit will keep helping me.
And Sindy, just for you - I posted a couple of more recent 'skin' pics in my profile. It's a little hard to tell - but I really am thinner! Just wait until I finish the pushup challenge.0 -
Cp you really can see a difference you are more defind. It does not show so much on me because I have it everywhere. Shall we say we carry it well   Congrats on the 1.5 pounds. I am going to keep switching everything up. Dont want to see another plateau. I would like to loose at least another 4 pounds by my birthday. That would be my halfway point. :bigsmile:0

Em could not find the post called "JerManda Spotted" could you bump it so I can look at the pictures. :bigsmile:0 -
byn101 - I had trouble in the same spot on the scale! I'm trying to get over the 180 hump now, but things are looking better even though the scale isn't changing so I"m hoping some of it is muscle now!
Don't get too discouraged by the plateau!! It can't last much longer0 -
Wow - for once I am in the situation of not having eaten enough calories today! 190 extra calories in a day doesn't seem like that much, but even with my moderate exercise I am finding myself with a deficit. This makes me suspect that I had been undereating the last few weeks (on the 2lb/week plan) and maybe that's why I was stuck. We'll see... if I gain it back this week, then I'll know that wasn't it!
Thanks for the kind words, Sindy - you are such a sweetheart. And I agree - we carry it well!
Nice to see you, Kerri - I bet you will be over that hump soon! :flowerforyou:0 -
Good morning everyone, doing good today sticking to my switching everything up with the hopes of a loss. I am going out for the first time in a long time with some of the girls from work on a mystery cruise Sat. So I really want to look good. I finally fit into jeans and feel comfortable. Will let you know how it goes. Break those plateau's :drinker: :drinker:0

Hi everyone! I am totally pumped today for 3 reasons:
1. I planned ahead and got all my calories in (and almost all before 9:00pm)
2. I went to ZUMBA for the first time -- it was a blast! It was a sample class so nobody had done it before, but we all did pretty well and had fun. And I burned 472 calories in an hour! (usually I burn more like 350-400 in regular aerobics class)
3. I just did my pushups for today and did way better than I thought I would. I did 47 total (plank style), and 13 in a row!
Sindy, that sounds like fun - I'm sure you'll look fabulous and have a great time! :drinker:0 -
Hiii everyone
i feel so guilty.
i have been doing a horrible job of keeping up.
i have been still doing my zumba on MWF, but i have gone to pilates less and strength training less.
my biggest throw back is SWEETS! I can't seem to control my intake! I know I am within my cals because of how much i work out..., but i know that i am getting them with the wrong kind of stuff! Blah!
so i am still on the plateau.0 -
Hmm - I think I've been over doing it a little bit food wise. It'll be nice to have the calorie counter daily again! (Yay fixed computer!)
I had to miss running group this week, but have been walking so hopefully it all works out? Might hop on the treadmill tonight.
Everyone looks soo good in their pictures!!! Way to go guys!!!0 -
Hi everyone. Checking in. I had my first day off yesterday and blew it. I ate everything, no exercise  went over by 300 calories. Ok today is a new day and I am back on track. Need to be very good going out on sat. Thanks cp I still am very self concious about my apperence I have not seen this girl since I lost 15 pounds. But we are very close so it should be a blast. You are doing great. Kerri glad your computer is fixed you will be back on track in no time. Em I know how you feel doing very bad in the sweets department too but I dont have a lot of exercise calories to help. You are looking great. Well now that everyone is on track have a good day and keep up the great work. :drinker:0

Thanks sindy!!!0

Ok I have been very very very bad. Had a mini vacation from work since Thursday. My hubby went away for the week end and comes home today (cant believe how much I miss him). I have been eating everything in sight. I went out on Sat. and had a great time with a very close friend the cruise was lots of fun. For the last 3 days I have gone over by 400 - 500 calories. I cant even think of weighing in today I will look tomorrow. I feel horrible like very sick:sick: about over eating. Hope everyone else did better on this holiday week end. I am trying to get back on track today. :grumble:0

Okay, so I haven't been on in awhile.
Today is the 1st. Which is when I measure and it's also Monday which is when I log in my weight. BUT, "Alice" (TOM) arrived on Sat. So I'm not so sure I WANT to!
I'm still doing okay food wise EXCEPT for the fact that yesterday I had a "real" hamburger with "real" cheese, on a "white" hamburger roll! AND about 15 marshmallows over the fire last night! bad, bad, bad!
AND, the Y has been closed since Thurs. And I haven't done anything since Wed. for exercise.
But, I guess, I might as well go weigh and measure!
Hope everyone is doing okay!
They are starting Zumba at my gym now too, on Sat. mornings at 8:15am (which will be hard for me to get out of bed and the house that early!) and at night from 7:15-8:15 on Wed. So..... we'll see if I can get into that!
OKay I'm back.
weight 154
BMI 25.6 (.6 away from being 'normal")
Body Fat 33.5%
My measurements haven't really moved.0 -
No weight change! gah! I'm still stuck. I've been really watching my calories and what I'm eating again so hopefully in another week or so we'll see some movement.0
-
Bran muffins are delicious. Eating one for breakfast really sets up the day well - i tend to cheat a lot less!
Hope everyone's well!0 -
