5'7" -ers out there - what's your goal weight??

I'm 5'7! Well, 5'6.8, but I round up. My initial goal weight is 150 (weight I was when I got injured and started gaining), and my final goal weight is 135 (lowest adult weight, when I was 18). Your appropriate weight could vary a lot, depending on body composition and type. I have a very curvy hourglass figure (currently 42" 30" 41") and I'm not really sure that I can get back to 135 with the top-heaviness I've got going on. I've lost some inches from my bust, but most of my weight loss has been from my middle (I started out at 46" 36" 46"). Ultimately, overall fitness and body composition is what's important to me - the "goal weight" is just a guess to use as my target/motivation.0

I'm 5'6/5'7 depending on who measures me. I am currently 129 lbs. My goal weight is 125. I carry all of my weight in my hips, thighs and butt. In order to lose some fat from these areas I think that's where I will have to get. We will see.0

5'7" and my goal weight is around 140. If I stay between 140 and 145 I would be happy.0

I am 5'6" and per that calculator, my happy weight should be 153.8 but I'll be happy with 155!
Check it out with your specs and see what it says.
Interesting! My "happy weight" is 141 apparently. 3 lbs to go til my "happy weight."0 -
I'm closer to 5'8" and my ultimate goal is 150. I'm pretty curvy with wide hips, so I'll have to see how I look/feel at 150 to determine if I want to go further. As long as you feel good in your own skin, that's all that matters!0

I'm 5'7 and I'd like to be around 110 or less.0

I will be THRILLED at 150!! I know that is a good, realistic weight for me - that hopefully I will be able to maintain!! I'll see when I get there. Maybe I will feel the need to go lower. At that weight, I'm a size 10 (I think - it's been so long). Maybe I'll surprise myself and get in the "140s" - still a long way to go.:blushing:0

wow i couldnt even imagine what i would look like at 110 im sure it would be just as scary as i look at 210. lol good luck to all0

I am 5'7'' and my goal is 130s.0

I'm 5'6" and going for 130. I wouldn't mind being 135 or so if I could build it up as muscle. I'd really like to be in the lower section of "average" body fat percentage. I'm going to get my yearly check up soon and I'm going to ask my doctor what a good goal weight is for me.0

I'm 5'7 and I'd like to be around 110 or less.
i wouldn't recommend going below 127, anything less and it's unhealthy.0 -
I'm also 5'7" and came in with a highest recorded weight of 288. My initial goal is to reach 150 and then see if I need to lose a little more after that.0

im 5ft 6 and my goal is 119lb0

I'm in the 5'10"-11" range. I have a thin frame and have found that I look my best between 150-155. However, as long as I get back to a comfortable size 6, I don't really care where the scale ends up. Currently, I'm 172 and a size 10.0

I'm 5'6" and I'm aiming for 130!0

I started at 150 & my goal weight is 130-135. I'm down to 141, but it's taken me almost 90 days to get there.0
-
150 but I will keep doing what I am doing until I see my body level out on its own. So, I think I'll bottom out around 140-145.0
-
145-1400

I am 5"7 7/8", so basically 5"8". I am planning on 140-150.0
-
I'm 5' 61/2" and 224.
I'd like to get to around 165, but I'm more concerned with getting body fat % down to 15% or so. It's a much better indicator of overall health than weight or BMI0 -
I would love to be 140lbs. Once I get there, we will see if I want to lose any more.0
-
I'm 5'8" with a end goal between 135-140.
I'm 5'8'' with an end goal between 140-145 (i think)0 -
Im about 5'6.5" and my goal weight is 130. I'm around 160 now which is the biggest ive ever been and I just want to go back to my old self.0
-
I am about 5'6 &1/2". My goal weight at this point is 160. If and when I get there I will see if I want to lose anymore. Feel free to friend me if you like.0

I'm going by the BMI scale and working on getting to 159, the very top of the range. I haven't been anywhere near a healthy weight in almost 20 years plus I'm big boned and much more muscular than I was in my teens. Maybe I'll be able to lose another 5-10, maybe I'll be fine sitting at the top of the range.0

Interesting...I just used the MFP tool that calculates BMI and it used my info (158 lbs. and 5'7") and it told me the following:
Target weight range: 118.1 - 159.6 lbs
I am (barely) below the high point of the target weight range and still am currently without a doubt overweight. I am hoping I don't need to go much below my original goal weight of 145 to not be fat! :sad:0 -
I used the calculation and it says my happy weight is 153lbs... I have a large frame and would be happy with 150lbs. I couldn't imagine me at 130 with my 5'7" frame... maybe I am just too "big boned".0
-
I am 5' 7.5" and right now my goal weight is 145. I am hoping that at this weight I will have a flat belly, but in all honesty I have no idea how I'll look because I've never been below 170 at this height. If I need to reevaluate, I will, but I've also done "happy weight" and looked at ranges and that's somewhere right in the middle!0

I am 5'6" and per that calculator, my happy weight should be 153.8 but I'll be happy with 155!
Check it out with your specs and see what it says.
Interesting! My "happy weight" is 141 apparently. 3 lbs to go til my "happy weight."
Mine said 149.3 and I am 100% good with that0
