Aunt Flow: Should I eat more calories when she visits?

    IMO and I usually have an article to back this up but I am at work and unprepared, I would say stick to your calorie goal provided by MFP or whatever guidelines you are following. If you feel you need to eat more, treat it like any other day and throw some exercise in to counter balance the extra eating. Remember exercise releases endorphins, so although you feel like poo now maybe after a brisk walk or pumping some iron you might feel a little better. It took me a long time to learn not to use "aunt flo" as an excuse to eat crap and be lazy. I honsetly feel better after a workout and take some solice in knowing that chocolate I am about to cram into my mouth has been earned. Think you can't exercise?? Tell yourself you are only going to do 10 min, just 10. See how you feel, if you honestly don't feel like you can't do a workout then stop.... otherwise tell yourself another 10 min, it's not that long. Do it one more time and you're up to 30!
