So Newmeat30 said anyone can post a question of the day. So here is mine.

    What is your workout routine?

    Currently I try to do

Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday- 45 min elliptical
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6wk6pack Jillian DVD
Saturday's I Also try and take a yoga class.

Mine fluctuates greatly, depending on my day to day schedule. I get in a long (2+ hours usually) walk/ run three days a week. On my days off, I spend at least 20 minutes doing calisthenics. I also do strength training. I try to do cardio on my days off from my long walk/ run too. I don't really have a set schedule for anything, but I try to get some form of exercise in daily.

Mondays upper body on the weights for about 30 minutes. 20-30 minutes on the treadmill
Tuesday lower body on the weights for about 30 minutes 20 minutes in the bike

Wednesday 60 minutes in the treadmill

    Thursday off

Friday upper body on the weights for about 30 minutes & 20 minutes on the elliptical 10 before the weights & 10 after i cant do 20 straight yet\

Saturday lower body on the weights for about 30 minutes, 30 minutes on the treadmill

Sundays is usually an off day but lately I have been going to the gym & going on the treadmill for 60 minutes. I'm starting to feel like a slug is if I sit on the couch too much

thats what I strive for. Friday and Saturday I have more time than any other day, so I often try to do extra.

The other days of the week, what I can do depends on the time I get off from work. I have to get home so my teenage daughter can use my car to go to work.

Wow, that is so great that you all have a workout routine, what a great idea. For now, I personnaly haven't started exercising but I know I have to start since my calorie intake is getting closer to 1200 calories per day.

    .

Right now I'm doing a 30 Day Shred Challenge. So I'm doing that everyday. Then I usually do 30-40 min. of cardio on the elliptical.

I have been doing JM Ripped in 30, but starting last week tomorrow. On top of that, I tend to go on my treadmill, stationary bike, and go to a weekly adult tap class, and in winter Play ice hockey.

As for a formal schedule, I don't have one...

THANKS NEWMEAT30 for the great chart yet again! Thanks for all your hard work! I can't believe there are only 7 weeks left! 14lbs to go... doable, only if I work my TAIL off! Thanks for keeping me motivated!

    I currently alternate days:

One day is strictly Cardio with 45 minutes on the Elliptical, 30 Minutes on the Treadmill and then at least 20 minutes of walking at 3mph
The next day is 30 minutes of Weight training and 30-45 minutes of either Elliptical or Treadmill plus walking 3 mph for at least 20 minutes (usually more).

I try to do this 7 days a week but sometimes life gets in the way.

Glad to see everyone's workouts. It gives me a better idea of what I should do...working on figuring out something that fits in with my classes/fiance's schedule.

I love the water & have been doing Aquafit for at least the last 5 weeks, I developed an allergy to the chorine :( then I found a great gym that has a salt water pool so I decided to join there, so I have been swimming or Aquafit at least every other day since joining the gym last week. I to like the elliptical & try to do that on the off days of swimming, I would like to start weight training too but I am taking it one day at a time. Next week I have oriantations set-up to learn all the machines so I can start the weight training, the free weights kindof freak me out. Anyways that's mine. Good job to all! Thanks for everything Newmeat30!

    Challenge: Positive Self Talk

Be nice to yourself! Look in the mirror and say something nice every day. Celebrate the good things that you have done. No negative comments to yourself this week.

    Hi, it says:

"What fits your busy schedule better, exercising one hour a day or being dead 24 hours a day?"

I hope you enjoy it, I think it makes a great point.
  • Okay, I'm weighing in a day early because I leave at 7:30 am (right after boot camp) tomorrow to head to the cottage for the weekend where there is no cell service/internet for me to check in.

    Anywho, I'm down to 282.8!
    SW: 290

I hope everyone has an excellent weekend and I'll be back Monday sometime!

    What is your workout routine?

I'm currently doing TurboFire. So Tuesday-Sunday I do my scheduled TurboFire class which incorporate cardio every day and strength training 3 times a week. Mondays are my "off" days but normally I run on those days (either outside or at the gym). I try to run 3 miles...(warm up 2 mins, jog a mile, walk 90 sec, jog a mile, walk 90 sec, jog a mile, cool down 3-5 mins).

I find that I have to schedule all of my workouts and do them just as soon as I get off work before picking up the kids. I find that by scheduling them (and actually entering them onto my calendar) I am able to commit to doing them. I like being able to see what I'm supposed to be doing that day. If I just say that I'll "go to the gym" I have a tendency to find something else that is more important, or go to the gym and get bored and leave early, or I wander around from machine to machine not sure what to do.
