    Good morning runners!
I am up and getting ready to run. I start back to work today, so I am trying to get out as soon as possible so I can run longer. I wont have time for 8 miles, but I think I have time for 5, maybe 6 if I do good time.
    See you in a while!

    Morning lovely people!

The sun is shinning (for now) and the weather is nice and cool. I got in a nice 5 miles this morning and now I'm ready for the day.

I'm heading out in a couple of hours to see a specialist regarding my hearing loss. I'm hoping it's a temporary loss and not permanent. When I had the testing done, he told me it could go either way.

Ugh, it's pretty crappy here. But I'm going to try to get in 4 miles (feet permitting) at a medium pace today. I also want to do 15 minutes of core so we will see.

Some running but not a lot. I had bootcamp this morning at 5:30 and we ran a 1/2 lap before it started and then ran some for fun.

I am going to another class tonight so it should all be good.

Running tomorrow morning for sure and then Wed. we are doing a 5k with a group from bootcamp. I don't know if I will run to improve my time or if I will run with some of the slower folks for support. I guess it all depends if they show up or not.

Yes, Mirielle, when did this happen. I hope everything is ok.

Shannon, yes going to the water park does burn calories. Go to the wave pool a few times. Man that one is a killer.

    Hello!? Hello? Anybody there??????

Hi all. Just got back from a week at the beach and a week's hiatus from running before that...hopefully my leg will be up to running a few miles here pretty soon (for those of you who don't know, I had a lovely water sprayer smack me right in the middle of my left shin back in June.)

I just wanted to check in. I've missed my "normal" routine of running and logging in on here for support. Hopefully I'll be back into soon. There's nothing like that rush of adrenaline after a workout!

    Happy trails, everybody.
    :flowerforyou: P

PS. Mireille! Best of luck. Let us know what happens.

Good Luck M! Let us know how it goes so we can support you in whatever way you need. I, too, need to go and deal with my ears too (tinnitus) and have been in denial about it for sometime.

    Morning Runners,

It's been 5 days since my last run. I'm going to the gym today to kick some major butt and will report after lunch!

    I'm a little scared. :noway:

    Hi ya!
5.4 miles but I did really great time, I went it at 11.36 per mile, so I am officially faster than 12 per mile. And today was a good run, good effort, but not too hard. If I didn't have to rush to work now, I could have done the 8 miles today.
    See ya!

    Good morning everyone!

Good luck on your doctor's appointment Mireille. Hope everything goes well. I somehow missed knowing about your hearing loss. Hope it's temporary.

Have fun at the water park Shannon. I've been going outside to get some tan in preparation for my trip, and even though I have skin that used to tan easily (back in the day when I used to bake outside on purpose), I'm so much more sensitive to the sun now, that I could only be outside an hour or so the first few times (even with sunscreen).

I'm going to do treading water today and walking my dog. I have to go to school to get things ready for the beginning of the school year. Normally I'd wait another week to go in, but I'll be in Jamaica this time next week! :drinker: :glasses:

I went running this weekend just out and about and ran for 1 hour straight which I was proud of.....but I have to confess it wasnt totally 1hour without stopping. I had to stop and use the bathroom behind a bush in someones front yard!!!

Does this happen to you guys and what do you do to help prevent this??? I was afraid someone was going to come out and yell at me because I was in the most historical neighborhood in Asheville near the Grove Park Inn! yikes....

Other than that all went well.

I ahve decided to run my first 10K in April in SC- Anyone out there who wants to join in- I'd love to see you there. I know it is a while away but it gives me focus and motivation to keep up the distances.

Oh and it is called the Cooper River Run- over the bridge in Charleston. And I can just go to the bathroom over the side if I need to I guess!! ha

    have a good Monday!

    have a good Monday!

I told my hubby, when I ran the 1/2 on Saturday there were several women that ran behind some trees/bushes hastily dropping their drawers. :ohwell:

I've started taking a Tums before my long runs & that seems to help keep bathroom issues under control.

I know what you mean. Since my husband and I started doing longer runs, we've started to take into account bathroom availability and water. We've begun to plan our runs according to where bathrooms are and we started putting water at strategic places along the run if it wasn't available. Once last week on a shorter run I had to cut it short by a mile to get home in time to use the bathroom, but luckily I made it. I think it's a pretty common problem for runners, and I read somewhere to try to eat a light meal of carbs before running so that might help.:flowerforyou:
