How do you keep from overindulging?

Well done Jenny! Good on you for finding something healthier you could eat.
I deal with these kind of events by deciding ahead of time about how much I'm going to eat, log it, then work around it for the rest of the day. So, I'll make sure I still have a good lunch and brekky and factor in a snack before I go so I don't arrive hungry. This usually means that I can stay within reasonable reach of my calories but not worry about it before i go. In fact, I've done this today because we are having a work lunch and I know there will be chocolate, so I've already logged what I plan to eat (and have been pretty generous!). I'll adjust this later in the day, but I know dinner will be pretty low cal (home made soup) so I can eat more or less at dinner to balance out if I need to.0
