I do 45 min weight and 45 min cardio. I stay under 2500 calories a day and drink 11 to 13 cups of water per day.

What ever my calorie goal is I stay about 300 under and drink lots of water.
  • Thats an excellent motivator! Keep up the hard work! (Man, I wish I had the metabolism of a man sometimes!!!) I'll pass along your success story to my husband! He will be impressed I'm sure =)
  • If you have an iphone, there is a fantastic app for keeping track of water intake with excellent tips. Its called Water Lite. I love it and it keeps me motivated for drinking the 3Litres of water a day that my body needs!

It is awesome that you are after a change and have some goals set. My only concern is that what you started you can't maintain. In my experience, longterm weightloss is about longterm lifestyle changes.. I started with babysteps and have built upon that. I have lost 39lbs in almost 5 months now.. I started with diet, now adding activity and exercise, still tweaking and working with diet.. I am building something I can maintian longterm.. I don't want to have to do this all over again.. I want to keep doing what I am doing and get where I want to be. This time, I am enjoying the journey and all the learning it brings.

    Good luck with your goals!

Agreed. When i lost the weight last time I won a biggest loser competition. There were no activities to follow. So i failed in the end. Now I am apart of two basketball leagues and filling activitie for myself and family for a lifestyle change.

That is really some amazing progress. Good for you on the dedication!!! I would agree the first week was the hardest and after that I started becoming anxious to get back to the gym and guilty on the days I don't go.
