I like the straw idea and the bottle measuring idea--guess I will try those. Another question though... Doesn't adding flavors take away from the whole point of drinking the water??? I am not sure, I just always thought that it had to be plain-natural water. Maybe, I am wrong????
I would not say that drinking flavored water is bad for you.. flavored is better than none.. all the nutritionalists I have spoken too have said that you can replace one glass of water with a flavored drink be it crystal lite, mio or even diet soda.. but the majority should still be plain old water0 -
I like to put in a few slices of cucumber or cantaloupe for flavor. It's very refreshing.

I love the Propel water flavor packets. It says to add it to 16 to 20 oz water but I personally think it's too much for a 16 oz. It flavors the 20 to 24 oz waters just as yummy. The thing I like the most is that there is no coloring to the water, it stays clear.0

So I tried the measuring bottle and a straw for mw water. I sat here at the computer with it in front of me and the straw in mouth. Before I knew it my first 32 ounces GONE in 15 minutes!!! So I ried the same thing a couple of hours ago and viola--my last 32 ounces gone!!! NOw i have been peeing like a race horse; but well worth it! Thank you everyone!!!0

To me it makes a huge difference if it isn't cold. I have to have mine ice cold and I got me Bobble water bottle so it filters as you drink it. You can fill it right out of the tap.0

I like using the Mio liquid (fairly new), I just add a squirt to my 20 oz water bottle and it gives me just enough taste that I can drink 3+ 20 oz water bottles a day at work. I keep several different flavors to change things up a bit. You can also use the Chrystal Light tubes of flavorings. My preferance is to add just a little flavoring to change things up. But drinking water is important.0

I just discovered MIO this weekend. I had been drinking plain water but like others have a hard time with it (still not drinking anything else). I had been using Crystal Lite packets which were great also. MIO is very convenient though...just a quick squeeze and done:)0

I used to really like water flavorers like crystal light buuuut I'm not a fan of those nasty artificial sweeteners0 -
I've noticed that if something is spicy in my food, say hot sauce or crushed red peppers, then I drink more water.
So I've started sprinkling something spicy on a meal when I know I need to catch up on water.
I am a total spice weenie, though... Can't even handle Medium Salsa. If you can just pick up a jalapeno and eat it, then it might not work for you!0 -

Water is water. Make tea, or herb tea. Lemon juice in water not only tastes good, it will also alkalize your body, too (which is good for you.) A big iced-tea with lots of lemon is easy to get down. Pure water should not have a taste. If your water doesn't taste good, invest in a sink water-purifier. If you can't do that, get the "triple osmosis" filtered water at the local water store. Bottled water and plastic is not good for you, or the environment. (chemicals from that thin plastic leach out into the water.) Filtered water is relatively cheap. Get that big water dispenser with a spigot, that sits on the counter (its a different kind of plastic) Very convenient. I used to pay for 60 gallons in advance, and they gave a huge discount. (I didn't want me or my son drinking flouridated water when they started that in my town. Glad I had informed myself and got the filtered water, because, as always, 20 years later they finally admit it's bad for you.) I don't believe that 8 glasses a day is really necessary, but I'm trying to follow the program. Even if you don't "make it 100% every day", it brings awareness into your life, and you will try to do better. Take care!0
