Salads are pretty much a staple in our house, at least 5 nights a week with dinner. I know, they can get a bit boring...:grumble: I love McCormick Salad Toppings, crunchy. For 1 1/3 tbsp is only 35 calories and they add so much flavor to a simple salad. I use sliced, roasted almonds as a topper, too.
Good luck in your quest for a flavorful salad :flowerforyou:
Thanks lil' Soupy....lol
I love crunchy so I may give those a try...we have a salad w/ our dinners too....so I'm gettin it double whammy at work and at home....totally boring!!! thanks for the tip!!

I use the Josephs Tortillas ( I can usually find them in the deli area of Stop N Shop).....they are SO good!! 70 cals, 1.5 g fat, 6 g fiber...made with flax too! Good source of Omega-3s! Today, I had 2 of these with the Josephs brand roasted red pepper hummus for lunch, along with a light string cheese and a yogurt. MMM!!0

I actually abso luuuuuv salds! Really! Ezzie doesn't like making them, and kinda "allows" me (thank you Mam, can I please have another?), mainly because after the baggie o sald goes in the bowl, then I start putting all kinds of strange items in. *giggle* So I try to keep the salad fresh (allpunds intended) by mixing it up (oph gawd, another bad pun) and not just the same old, same old stuff each time.
I bet you make the best bag o' salad in a bowl ever!!! I would be interested in what your fav's are buddy!!!....

Oh I've had those!!! they are good too! the Mission ones are sooo fluffy though...they are good and usually near the dairy stuff...they are like 110 cals and has like 11 gms of fiber.....they come in all sizes too so the cal and fiber will vary...and they must say Carb Balance...the reg. ones are low in fiber and higher in cal....why i have no idea???

oh, my gosh-- I'd kill for a salad. Raising 9 kids on a shoestring budget doesn't leave a bunch of money for "real" food. We buy our "ration" on paydays, and chow through them--0

Well... I typically do the Caeser, or the Italian Blend baggie. Then I start getting into the fridge, shred some cheeses, maybe some ollives, gotta have 'maters, maybe cukes, etc. Also, for a great Chef Salad for lunch, I'll dice up turkey breast, or salami, or even corned beef. I just start going a bit crazy, sometimes pecans, peas, veggies, it all kinda depends on the leftovers situations. Plus, I'll nuke some salmon and cheese and plop that on top as well.
But I like the liquid salads you gurls have even better! Can I bring my fruit salad over miss? If I wear my sparkle kilt and nuttin else?

Tuna Salad? I think I spied a low cal potato salad on the internet last night. I will have to locate it...That would be lovely-potato salad made low cal!
So I don't have salads every day, I like to have coucous and veggies or quiona and veggies.0
