Friday = Push-Ups!


TGIF Fitpeeeps! Friday is PUSH-UP day! 100 is the wk/1 challenge & wk/2 peeps try to hit 125!


They can be broken up throughout the day but must be done by midnight.

No fear there are several levels so ANYONE can do these!

Personally, I'm not a fan as they are REALLY hard for me. I can barely do 5 standard so this will be a serious challenge for me!



Level 1: Wall, ledge or counter push-ups (standing at a sharp angle, slow and complete)

Level 2: Modified push-ups (on knees)

Level 3: Standard push-up

Level 4: Fancy one-armed push-up :)



Push yourself to do AS MANY AS YOU CAN! A combination of levels even?

Sets are not necessary but streching out your arms and rotating wrists is recommended before/after.

    i want to join too but i cant :( i fractured my wrist where my thumb and wrist meet and i cant put that much pressure on that hand yet... oh well maybe the next one unless you want to give me (and those that maybe have a good reason to not be able to do push ups) an alternative to do

    I'm going to do it! I am excited that you gave the levels.... I am at level 1, but I hope to move to level 2 soon!

    Definitely count me in! I think the last time I did 100 push ups in one day was when I was in the Army 16 years ago. Great exercise to get your chest and arms in shape. I definitely need this. Thanks for starting this challenge!

    Ohhhh, I wish I could be in but I snapped a tendon in my right wrist a year ago and I'm still weak. I also weigh 395 lbs and trying to do that on a weak wrist is not recommended, I'm sure.

    but it's early, so I'm gonna start now so I can get my 100 done today!

    UnwellDiva and I will be hanging out today, so we can push each other to drop and give me 20 periodically! woot!

    I for one HATE push-ups, that's what makes it a challenge! My wrists hurt terrible when I attempt reg. and knees are out (bad knee had surgeries) so I do counter or window sill. Works the same muscles with less pressure on wrists and the further away you plant your feet, the more difficult.

    If you absolutely can't do the challenge then if you have weights or anything heavy, do a press from a laying down position?

    I can't do regular push-ups due to a cyst in my left wrist (it can't support my weight), so I just tried the level 1 and I just completed 20 of them. Thanks for posting this, I only have 80 more to go :)

  • Okay, I'll try! But that means I'm going to have to lay paper towels under my hands in my office's bathroom as there's no where else to do them. Is that too gross for words? I don't care, it's a really clean bathroom anyway.

    @way. LOL! Maybe you can do the wall pushups in the bathroom. That's what I'm going to do. Because there is no way I could do them all this evening at home.
