Okay...so I've been at this Farm Progress Show all day...it rained all morning, was cold...so I was wet and freezing, my legs are sore and I am phsically exhausted. Lunch they served us was burgers and steak fries...SO healthy, right? Then I ate some popcorn (could be worse)...but I get back to work and I have a *kitten*-ton of stuff to do...so am probably gonna work late. And I am SO freakin tired that I seriously don't know if I have energy to go to the gym! This is NOT like me at ALL!!!!!  I want to cry.  Especially since I didn't get to the gym last night because of that unexpected dinner as I had mentioned! How HORRIBLE IS THIS!!!!!!!!!

I just want to go home and crawl into bed.

Kristin- dont feel too bad!! You body deserves a break anyway, you work really hard all the time!! Dont get down about it, just enjoy and go home and curl up in your covers and have a good nights sleep :)

Okay, so for dinner tonight I had: tuna lunch kit, 5 pringles, 1/2 cup mixed veggies and 1/2 skinny cow ice cream sandwich

I'm about to do my ball exercise dvd as well.. I think this will help with the toning I would like to start doing

So, tomorrow not sure food wise but exercise wise, if it isnt raining Im going to walk on the track or the treadmill for atleast 30 min..if I can get into the gym before my biology lab, I will do 20-30 min on the elliptical. Hope everyone has a great night!!! :smooched: :smooched:

    Hey, Kristen,

I feel so bad for you. Tommorow is a new day & will be much better and you have your weekend coming up to look forward to. Maybe try a hot bath and some soothing music.

Aww, poor you K  Just try not to let your morale slip too badly. You can do this and you'll get through it. Do what you can over the next few days and then in moments that make your head want to burst, just try to focus on how good it will feel to get back on track next week. You'll get to plan out your meals, go to the gym and do what you want to for your health and fitness! I know how hard it is when it feels like you just can't win but one week of "stuff" that comes up won't be a problem unless you let it take you off track. And you won't!! Nor will we let that happen! :flowerforyou:

    Good Morning,

I had a good workout yesterday, increased my weights on strength training and I feel it today.

I really love this website  and am very happy  it’s free. All of you are what makes it so good.

    Today:
1: Oatmeal, banana, B.S. Splenda ½ tsp., Coffee W/ sugarfree cream
    2: watermelon
    3: Salad
4: skim milk & fiber one bar
5: leftover wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce
6: graham cracker w/ cool whip

Exercise: walk or bike ride at least 30 min.

I would like to share a website with you. It’s a lady who has been doing weight watcher for years. There are a lot off links, recipes, motivational quotes, and much more. There are also many ads for things, but it’s quite easy to scroll right past them. The site is dwlz.com You can sign up for her newsletter and she will e-mail you monthly with something new she has written about her weight loss journey. Here is something I got off her site and thought was cute and I hope you enjoy.

    10 Little Weight Watchers
10 little weight watchers joining in a line,
one hated vegetables, then there were nine.
9 little weight watchers say, "This is great."
One said I don't have time to exercise,"
    then there were eight.
8 little weight watchers say, "This is heaven."
One had a birthday, then there were seven.
7 little weight watchers, getting thin for kicks.
One said, "Programs and fun just don't mix,"
    then there were six.
6 little weight watchers, see how they thrive.
One said, "Just once won't hurt,"
    then there were five.
5 little weight watchers beating at a door.
One weighed and left each week,
    then there were four.
4 little weight watchers from fat getting free.
One heard, "Dear you're getting too thin,"
    then there were three.
3 little weight watchers see how they do.
One went on vacation, then there were two.
2 little weight watchers, life has just begun.
One got off the program, then there was one.
1 little weight watcher standing all alone,
the body's gotten little, how the pride has grown.
    1 little weight watcher,
at goal she (he) looks divine.
We, each one of us, can be that one
    and not the other nine!!!

    Gooood morning everyone!

Rogers welcome back! 12lbs in 7 weeks can be done

Kristin, sounds like this day will really recharge you! Yay!

Well, I'm proud of myself today. A friend and I were talking yesterday and she is Italian and the biggest admirer of white flour products I've ever met lol. She got on this rant about focaccia and it made me think, 'well, the farmer's market is tomorrow and maybe I'll allow myself some focaccia as a treat'. I put it into my meal plan and everything. But this morning when I woke up, for whatever reason I awoke with one of my quotes going through my head: "I am the sum of every choice I make". And I thought you know, no focaccia for me today. I had an extra treat last night and that's just plenty. So I'm not even going to GO to the farmer's market today. Instead I'm going to stay home and do Turbo Jam then wander over to the grocery store with my children and get the 2 ingredients I need for supper. I feel so awesome about that because normally if I've given myself permission it's all over. Done deal. So yay on that.

Here's the menu today. And it's almost all leftovers lol

    1: meatballs w/ rice & a banana
2: bean chili & luna bar
3: alfalfa sprouts with arame seaweed and hummus
    4: protein shake
5: lentil split pea soup & organic chocolate soy ice cream sandwich

Working out will be Turbo Jam and a run or a bike ride. To be determined

    I'll be back later!!

Wow, this evening I just want to eat eat eat and I dont know why!!! Im not hungry, I just have these urges to eat! I made a big salad for dinner, though I didnt eat the whole thing.

    Food wise today:

Fiber one cereal with skim milk

Protein shake and 20 baby carrots

Romaine lettuce salad with green bell pepper strips, banana peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, RF provolone chz, turkey breast slices...no dressing (ive actually developed a preference of no salad dressing:smile: )

Fiber one bar, pringles, 5 vanilla wafer cookies

Exercise today....60 min on the track on campus, 12 min of it jogging.

I have my 2nd check up at my weight loss doctor tomorrow morning...So that should go well. I weigh about 3 more lbs at the docs office than I do at home, so if I am at 216lbs in the morning at home tomorrow I will be about 219-220 at the doctors office, which will have me at a 13-14lb loss on their records for this month!

I hope everyone had a great day!

Kristin- if I dont get to tell you before you go, I hope you have a great weekend trip and have a blast!! We will miss you  Make sure to enjoy yourself for all of us who are not going anywhere this weekend!!

Pedal.. Thats so awesome that you decided not to go to the farmers market even though you gave yourself permission and had the mindset to! I try and do that when I am wanting something that is really bad for me, I try to wait for a while and have time to think about it and most of the time the craving passes.. Its pretty cool

May check back in again later, or just go ahead and go to bed after I put my lil one to bed.. This week my energy has been zapped and I will be glad to hopefully be able to sleep past 7am tomorrow!!

    Have a great night everyone!!

UGH I feel like such a fool! :explode: :explode: :explode: So, today was PERFECT going as planned to the letter. GOLDEN. Then, one of my best friends was visiting and of course we hung out way longer than expected. I still had to go to he store and pick up the last 2 ingredients for my supper and because of just hanging out talking I didn't eat all afternoon. I was super hungry (never a good idea when going to the store, right??) and by the time my friend went I realized we'd have to pick something up. I was thinking of checking this line of organic healthy frozen meals but they were right next to the little Dr. Oetker pizzas that I happen to LOVE in my "former" life and which happened to be on sale for half price. So I thought, 'okay, we'll have one. The day has been super good and I'm missing my afternoon calories anyway'. Home we went. Pizza is out of the oven and my daughter has a tiny bit, little guy doesn't want his. So I ate what was there. That wasn't great on its own but then, for the first time in almost 3 months, I was blind-sided by that sickening depressive emotional blackhole of guilt for eating more pizza than I would have liked and I ate THREE of these soy desserts. They're not high in cals like ice cream but still. :explode: So now I'm sitting here feeling disgusting and guilty and stupid and way too full.
To help myself I mapped out my day for tomorrow because I know it's a fresh start, but I can't believe I started today by making that great and pride-inspiring choice about the market and the focaccia, and I've ended it like THIS. :frown: I am super pissed at myself and although I know every moment brings a new change to make another choice, I hate seeing that demon show its face. I haven't felt that way in so long and I guess I'm not 100% in the clear. If I were giving someone else advice on this I suppose I'd just say that it can be a positive lesson to realize that this particular "demon" is not entirely banished yet, but to take heart in the fact that it has been at bay for almost three months. That's a big accomplishment. So that's what I'll try to consider. Had to vent. Ugh.

    Wow Pedalhound,

You are very hard on yourself. It's great you were able to spend time with your best friend. :flowerforyou: Everyday is an opportunity to try again and I'm sure today will be better.

I was thinking about tomorrow, it is my b-day and a day of indulgences for me. So, how will I deal with it? I am not going to deny myself a few rare indulgences, but will watch portions, drink lots of H2O, and do an extra workout. Will that make up for it? I doubt it. We'll see on Tuesday.

    Today:
    1: Mini-wheats, skim-milk, & strawberries
    2: 1/2 bagel & 1 tbs. light cream cheese
3:corn on cob (so sweet right now)
    4: 4 oz. 93% lean hamburger, 1 bun, w/L,T,O & small side salad
5: skim milk & 100 cal. pack Keebler shortbread cookies

Exercise: walk, bike ride, or aerobic dvd; not sure yet it looks like rain.

I was just feeling very frustrated with such a rash choice and, as I said, the first time I've dealt with that kind of "binge" feeling in a long time. But it's a new day. So on we go. I hope everyone has a great weekend and good luck keeping it together over the holiday!!

Well, I've planned out my meals for the next couple of days. We're going to be doing a huge organization of our house this weekend which will feel so good. And I have my step class Sunday mornings so that's always fun! My dance class starts up again in just less than 2 weeks also. THAT I'm looking VERY forward to!!

    Saturday:

    1: 2/3 c organic smart bran w/ psyllium cereal & .35 cup skim milk, 1/2 a banana & 1 protein shake
2: homemade trail mix of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds & dark chocolate chips
3: salad: spinach, quinoa, black soy beans, dried cranberries & shredded organic skim milk cheese
    4: lentil split pea soup
    5: air popped popcorn

exercise: bike ride all over town for errands with my kiddos in the trailer - always a good work out!!

    Sunday:

1: quinoa simmered in almond milk w/ cinnamon, nutmeg, dried cranberries, 1/4 apple shredded. 1/2 serving of smart bran on the side (dry)
2: protein shake, Ezekiel no-sodium slice of toast w/ olivina & fruit juice-sweetened raspberry jam, egg white omlette w/ spinach & skim milk cheese & low-sodium organic salsa
    3: 2 super-healthy homemade fruit & nut "cookies"
4: brown rice spaghetti w/ no-sodium tomato sauce, peppers, onions & ground lean bison
    5: air popped popcorn

exercise: step class and weight training (usually almost a 1000 calorie burn after riding my bike to and from gym, hence the big food day!)

Well, that's it from me. Happy long weekend everyone!!

Katy, CONGRATS on your amazing progress!! Good for you!

Where are all you guys?? lol I must be the only one at home for the holiday weekend! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend :)

    Foodwise yesterday:
    bfast: protein shake
    lunch: nothing solid, just snacked
dinner: small burger with provolone chz baked beans(less than 1/4 cup) and 3 hot wings I made at home.
Exercise: played tennis for about 45 min and thats it

    Today is okay..
    Bfast: medium banana
Lunch and dinner not sure, but more than likely just a small salad.
Exercise: 35 min of jog/walk in the park and 30 min of tennis already...gonna try for 30 more min of walk/jog and more tennis when it gets cooler this evening.

My doc changed my meds Im taking so Im not really hungry at all...I just kinda eat a lil bit here and a lil bit there, not meals really. I dont want to incorporate meals until I know how this medicine is going to control my appetite, because if it doesnt do what it is supposed to then I have to switch back to the other medicine I was taking! So Im not trying to starve myself or anything like that, I am just eating when I get hungry. Once I know how this new medicine will work, I will go back on my normal plans...

Im kinda freakin out as well bc my scale isnt going down...it was down to 215 on Friday morning, but its up to 217 as of this morning! :noway: Im hoping its just water retention bc of the high sodium foods I ate Fri/Sat. Well I hope you guys are doing well!
