the animals in the studies were fed EXCLUSIVELY saccharin. Not a valid study IMHO.
I can prove water is poison if I drink enough of it all at once...
Maybe in ONE of the studies but there have been many. I built a toxicology database for a pharma client of mine in 2007, so I reviewed MSDS data and RTECS data extensively. There have been dose dependent studies on saccharin, and studies with animals on a typical diet with and without saccharin added.
My point was only that saccharin has been shown to cause adverse effects (chronic toxicity) in small mammals, but similar studies in humans have been inconclusive. I was just pointing out that because a study shows a particular outcome in an animal model, that doesn't mean those outcomes will translate to people like you and me.0
