Hey Blues,
It's good to see you all active in the forum (except me). I've gotten pretty busy but I am enjoying it. Last week I started my full fledge summer schedule so we shall see what the summer brings. I am hoping for a good weigh in this week after all this extra ultimate frisbee and baseball.
I will post a new board hopefully on Monday when I get everyone's weigh ins. I'm out of town for the weekend at an ultimate tournament, it should be good. I just hope I don't hurt myself in the process and I gotta keep hydrated.
Keep up the good work! ::happy:0 -
Welcome to June! Today is a special day for me: 37 years ago, I married my best friend, and we are still inseparable.
My goals will remain the same as in my signature. I always hope to lose a few pounds every month, and actually did so in May. I am going to focus on staying on track as my schedule changes for the summer, and I travel more. Wishing the best for all of us. Here's to smart choices!0 -
That's awesome Mary,
Happy Anniversary
You have done great so far and keep it up, keep focused.
So, what do you think? time for a new picture ? :glasses:0 -
OK so I've changed my weigh in to my current weight : Hubby and I are at it together...again!
I hadn't done measurements in 2 weeks shy of 1 year....
Neck up 1"
Waist up 1/2 inch
Hips up 2.25
upper Arm up 1"
Butt up 1"
Thigh up 1.25"
Calf up .75
REALITY CHECK!
Setting a goal CW 171.8 short term goal 160 (by 7/27 9 2 days before I turn 40) First 3 or 4 pounds will go away in next couple of focused days - the rest will be harder work. Going to gym tomorrow night.
Already logged my food for today. Will not likely get to exercise today since Jay has baseball game and it's his birthday....my baby is 15!!! Friday baylee has her wisdom teeth cut out, then we're heading to the beach for the weekend-if you're gonna lay around it might as well be with the ocean in the background, right?!0 -
Happy Anniversary Mary!0

It's so good to hear from everyone, including myself, since I have just rejoined you guys.
Mary- Happy anniversary, and that's so sweet, to hear about you and your mate. Enjoy your day, and cheers to many more years to come.
Peter- More pictures, are always good.
Chrissy- Enjoy your time at the beach...I just love it!
Have a good day all, I have missed ya!
This morning I did 20 minutes of Jillian's 30 day shred, and at lunch at work just did 41 minutes of climber, and others. Way to go for me on this week, where I have started my working out again.
We can do this, all!0 -
Wow! I miss a day and look what happens!! It is good to see such chatter on our board... Congratulations Mary on your anniversary! I hope to say the same when I am married for 37 years.
Yesterday I had an epiphany. I need to stop living in the past and the future. I need to start living now! If I do things that help my body now, eat what my body needs now, and help my family with what they need now I will be happier and feel better than beating myself up because of what I did, or what I should have done. I have been living with the subconcious thought that I am a failure--it just dawned on me the other day. I make a small mistake and it proves that theory right. Why should I follow through on anything if I am going to fail anyway. I am going to work on my internal language...
Yesterday just by asking what I should do, now, I felt happier and got more accomplished. It is amazing what mindset will do!0 -
Wel said Deb!0
-
Thanks Chrissy. It's amazing how some little thing will just suddenly make sense in a brain! It's good to see you back!
Mayra, we've missed you too...
Lets keep bringing it!0 -
Well this week I've tried, did really good yesterday and weighed this morning - down 2....will not offically weigh in til next wed.0
-
Great job, everybody, and Happy Thursday!
Deb- that's so true, about concentrating on the present moment, because it's all we can't control. We can do this, one day at time, one step at a time as well.
I'm happy to report in for my workout today. This morning made it in with 20 minutes of Jillian Michael's, and just now during lunch at work did 30 minutes of stepper/climber.
How are you all doing today?0 -
Howdy all,
Just a quick login before I go to work.
Deb you can do this... Like Mayra said, small steps, and one day at a time. We can't kick ourselves about the past.. Unless we kick our own butts in the present... .....
Small changes today. If you get busy, tired, and don't get that workout in. Just get a workout in the next day, and forget about that day... Don't stress yourself about it
I really think and go by Tony's slogan.
"Do your best........... and forget the rest"...
Today was supposed to be Yoga X day, and again it's a nice day out. I was also waiting for Purolator to deliver so that through tmy timing off. So, no Yoga X, modified my workout today to do a 8km jog.
I got some HIIT in, and felt great. I hit my personal best time of 55 mins for 8kms.
Make good choices everyone.0 -
Thanks for the support guys!! I have been doing well until today when I got too busy and then started eating everything in sight. I hate it when I do that. But I am going to move on and be better the rest of the day.
It was my daughters last day of school today. Now the fun of the summer begins!
I have a crazy weekend with a formal party Saturday and a family gathering on Sunday. I've got to get the house clean!!
Have a great evening!0 -
The only workout that I got in today was playing in a concert, which is somewhat of a workout. Unless I count running after my 3 year old grandson who spent the night!0
-
I say running after your grandson is a workout! I know runningafter my 3 year old sure is...
House work it is for me today!
Keep on bringing it!0 -
I got up and took Suzie Q (my frisky poodle) for a walk before she went to the groomer today, and just got back from the swimming pool, so exercise for the day is done. Now I need to start on my chores! Later -0
-
I did body pump last night-nothing today except pack for weekend, take Baylee to have wisdom teeth out--she's doing good, working, pick Jay up from school, take mom meds, still need to get to the bank and drive 5 hours to the beach for two days (what were we thinking>?!)0

Hey all,
Today I had the day off, by the way I get every friday off in the summer from work. I drove downtown NYC to do storytime at the FAO Schwarz bookstore, and then run in Central park with toddler in Jogging stroller. Well....I got to the area, and looked for parking for 1 hour.........didn't find any decent parking. All I found were metered 1 hour parking, which is not even worth it. It's really not even worth it driving downtown sometimes because of the parking. So next friday, I'm going to stay home, watch movies, wake up early and do my exercise before hubby goes to work. Then just go to the park down near where I live and take by toddler on swings and stuff. I drove right back home today, exhausted from the whole driving ordeal.
By the way, I need to check myself because I have working out all this week and Have lost nothing. Something must be off with my foods, so I need to pick myself up, dust my feet off, and try something different. Didn't get an exercise in today, but we'll get them next time.
Hoping your day was better than mine, all!0 -
Hey everyone. I've been here "lurking"... just haven't posted anything. I didn't log my food yesterday. I'm sure I overate some, but I also probably worked it off. I was helping my mother-in-law move some boxes from her old house to her new in 100 degree weather! I logged my food for the last few days before that, now I just need to work on staying under my calories! I would do good at work, but then a couple nights I got home and my husband had dinner ready, so I just scarfed it all down without even thinking! His dinners are things like pasta, garlic bread, etc... I told him he's got to stop doing that! For a while he was losing weight too. He was well over 400 pounds and lost almost 100, then we both got off track and gained some back. I'm trying to get it together, and I hope he will too.0

Good morning everyone.
Saturday is kenpo X day. What a great day..
Got a good workout in for 820 calories, and a great way to start off the day.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Long day here. I walked, I dug volunteer elm trees out of a flower bed, I carried boxes upstairs, and - drum roll please - I rode my new bike! Okay, so I only went up and down the driveway to get used to it, and then went six blocks, but still! I will have to to do just a little at a time until I build myself up. I am waiting to see how sore I am tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, we are leaving town tomorrow. Heading down to Texas to see my littlest grandson. He is five months old, and I haven't seen him since March, so I can't wait! We will stop on the way both going and coming to see Mom in the rehab center. When we get back to Kansas, we aren't even coming home, but going straight to the lake for a weekend campout with family. I won't be home until the following Sunday. I might be able to pop in here on my iPad when we are in Texas, but we'll see. I know that I won't be by here while camping. So - you may or may not see much of me for the next week. Everyone have a good one!0 -
Kaechelle- It's so good for you and your hubby that you are back at it. This is definitely a daily task for all of us, and the best thing is showing up.
Mary- I saw someone with an adult tricycle this weekend, and they reminded me of you. Have fun with your precious grandson!
peter- Nice workout this weekend. Way to go!
Well, this weekend I was with family that were visiting us from Nebraska. We ate alot and went to the beach yesterday. Funny thing is the scale stayed the same, and I guess that happens once I stop obsessing about the scale. I got my lunch workout today and did 28 minutes of the stairclimber. I'm feeling pretty good about moving forward, and I know I can do this, because I have done this before. One day at a time. I am special and deserve all this and more!
Have an awesome day all!0 -
Quick check in - HI!!!
Keep working hard blues.
Tomorrow is my weigh in....and I am looking forward to it!0 -
Hey all,
How is your day going so far?
I'm happy to see a loss on the scale this morning, so that means something I'm doing is working. Got my lunch workout and did 31 minutes of stair climber at my work gym. I'm glad I got something in, and now, I'm headed towards keeping a good calorie count for the rest of the day.
Make it a great day!!0 -
Hey all.
Had another great workout today - Plyometrics... Burned a good 800+ calories.
Good luck on the scale chrissy but remember that number is not everything.
I know this past 1-2 months the scale has gone up and down with me but the belt, looser, clothes, looser.
I'm almost at day 45 of 90 for my 1st full round of P90x....woooo hoooo.0 -

After 1 week - CW 169.2 down...2.6!!!!!!!!!! I expect next week won't be as great but I'll take it!!!!0 -
chrissy- way to go, and celebrate every loss...I just read an MFP post about celebrating every loss.
I got my lunch workout today and did 20 minutes of stairclimber at gym. I'm glad I got something in for my workout. I'm doing great so far in my eating, and I walked to whole foods during lunch and picked up whey protein, so I am prepared for my dinner tonight, with no sabotage.
Have a good day all!0 -
Mayra- It sounds like you had a very productive lunch break! Good for you! I went walking on my lunch break today. I walked around the block a few times. I need to do that more often, I just don't want to come back all sweaty because it's so hot out there! I do have some deodorant and body spray in my desk drawer though!0
