haha yay TLC, and Salt N Pepa and En Vogue :)

    Those were the days :)

But... I think when I was 17 I listened to metallica

I had a horribly ugly faded silver 1980 Buick Skylark with only an AM radio

We called it the nerd mobile :)

I was a total band geek

oh and when I was 17 I went away to college to get a degree in music education.

When I was 17... (which was 2 years ago for me)
I went to school. I paid attention in class. I did my homework long before it was due. My way of rebelling was walking to school instead of taking the bus. I never stayed up past 11pm.
Yeah, I was "that girl" who never talked.
If I had daughters that age, I would probably take them clubbing myself.

    I graduated high school.

I played basketball, volleyball and tennis.

When I was 17, I attended high school and worked 30 hours a week. I was nearly expelled from high school because of some rumors that were started. I was in a very serious relationship and I was completely convinced that I was going to marry him. That clearly didn't happen. I was also constantly out drinking with my 'older' friends...

I knew what I wanted and how to get it. And I always did.

I was a daddys girl, so I knew how to keep what I didnt want thim to find out FAR AWAY!!!!

I met this little stoner guy with awesome hair. (a few years after that we got married!~!)

When I was 17, a mere 4 years ago, I was struggling in high school with my ADHD; the fittest I've ever been in my life; happy but socially awkward in my dance class/ classes in general in school; getting my driver's permit extended/license; dropping pre-calculus because I couldn't hack it; on my 17th birthday, I remember my dad playing his Beatles cassette (yes, cassette tape. go old school, yo.) and putting on the birthday song. I was also totally awkward in general, didn't talk much, didn't know where I was going in life, and pretty depressed. I was a good teenager though, no drugs or partying or alcohol for me. Not even any rebellion.

Today, I'm not quite as fit, since I hit the freshman 10 a couple years ago. Still socially awkward, but more adept at conversation, still a dancer but not as often, still goofy, still struggling only this time it's in college and my career depends on my success here; commuting from home to school everyday (20 min commute) guzzling gas in my neglectfully dirty car; happy in my year-long relationship with someone I never talked to in high school because I was intimidated by his geekiness, which I now find endearing. I'm still relatively depressed, trying to finish up papers that are overdue, before I get an F in one or both classes. I'm steadily going crazy living at home with my autistic half-brother, after having had a taste of dorm-life and freedom for two years. *sigh* I have NO social life whatsoever, and I miss high school to pieces. I gave up alcohol 6 months ago and am waiting for summer to celebrate my first year with my boyfriend, and for school to be out. Still not a party animal, nothing worse than hookah once and never again. I am however, becoming more rebellious due to the pressures of living at home while wanting to be an independent adult who can get along without help and wanting to get away from a rather abusive little brother.

Funny how things go! You can't wait to get on with your life and grow up, but then you get there and realize, "Crap! Take me back!! Do Not Want!" >< We had it so good and I knew it back then, too. Never wanted to leave my high school and face the real world. Shoot. -____-

When I was 17...I drove a Ford Escort, 1981, with a 1882, 1.6L Cortina motor in it. And when I sped, upto great speeds like 160kmph, the car shook so much I thought it would fall apart.

I was a try hard girl racer. I was dating a younger guy. I was a bogan. I listened to Metallica and Pantera and my fav colour was Black.

When I was 17, I was the perfect child. Virgin... never even been kissed! Did great in school. Didn't cause trouble beyond some minor problems with the truant officer. I didn't skip school. I just had wicked bad allergies that made me miss a lot of time.

When I was 17, I was skinny. Probably about 110 pounds, tops.

When I was 17, I was insecure about my small boobs, crooked teeth, and (mostly imagined) cellulite.

When I was 17, I loved drawing, painting, sewing and bright red lipstick. Some things never change!
