hi Everyone! I am SugarfreePanda! I am 39 years old, I work and attend school fulltime, and raise two teenage boys.
Here is my story: I recently suffered from major fatigue (at least 6 months) and after a WONDERFUL hormone specialist I found recommended major bloodwork, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism. I also have low estrogen and progesterone, all which could cause my fatigue. I am now taking estadiol, levothyroid, progesterone, in addition to many recommended herbs and vitamins.
I am only a few days into my new "pill regime". I also gave up regular milk (now I drink rice milk), soda, caffeinated and otherwise, have cut down my sugar intake, working on eliminating white flour from my diet. I have always been a veggie muncher. I gave up red meat and pork 2+ years ago. I do not drink alcohol.
My question is: is there someone out there w/similar circumstances to mine, who has given up sugar and red meat, or maybe diagnose w/hypothyroidism that has some ideas for EASY eating ideas for me? I eat lots of nuts and veggies, beans, cottage cheese. I am looking for more ideas! I have ordered a book on hypothyroidism, but want to hear from a real person!
