Water problem:(

I drink a fair amount of water, being a long distance runner but I don't think I drink a gallon of water unless I'm doing serious mileage. Maybe I do, though.......0

So,I know that I have to drink about 8 glasses of water a day.But I have such a problem doing this. When I exercise I can down a few very quickly, but throughout the day I drink them so slow. I just bought a new water bottle that hopefully will help me,plus I want to challenge myself to do it. I see people on here drinking a gallon a day,is that possible??0

Maybe the 8cups a day seems daunting. That's literally 8 cups of water, not 8 full glasses. One cup is 8 oz, and the glass I drink out of is a 16 oz glass, so I get two cups in one glass. That means throughout the day I only drink four glasses of water, but it's really 8 cups.0

So I read this and realized that I had been thinking about it in glasses instead of cups and the cup I drink out of is also 16 oz. So I've been drinking 16 cups of water a day and not realizing it.... Major blond moment there!0 -

I use a camelback water bottle, and it's awesome! Filtered, everything is dishwasher safe...plus I drink a ton of water with it. Definitely worth the money.0

I'm usually very good about drinking water during the week. On weekends? Not so much. Today I bearly got in 5 cups of water. I usually try to at least get in 100 oz. of water (half my body weight) but I usually fall short at around 80-90 oz. a day. Carry the bottle that you bought/are buying and carry it around with you. Or set a little water reminder/alarm on your phone so you can be reminded to take a sip here and there. You can do it buddy...0

I love water. Not the taste, unless it's ice cold, just the act of drinking down another glass is very satisfying to me. Makes me feel like I'm in control of SOMETHING. When I'm at home, it's a 16 oz glass with breakfast, another with my morning meds, one or two while I'm either cleaning or just being a bum because I'm not at work, one with lunch, another two in the afternoon, one with dinner, two after working out (Fiancee and I work out after we're both home from work), and then there's the midnight glass when I wake up with a dry throat. I just counted that, I think I have a drinking problem! LOL Pretty much the same routine at work, as it is HOT in the kitchen where I work!!! Which, of course, makes me thirsty.
All I can say is to sort of just start working it in, add a glass with meals, eventually you'll find yourself working more in.0
