As far as a low carb diet my mother in law had all kinds of health problems like fibromialgia and

same with my mom, it was so hard watching her go through that, there were weeks were she couldn't move at ALL, she also has a low immunity problem because of the low carb diet. she is just now getting the whole low carb thing out of her head, it was so ingrained in her head that it took forever to convince her other wise, even after the doctor told her most of her health problems are because of the low carb diet she was on.

Oh, I completely forgot about the people who go to Asia to have a Tapeworm intentionally "added to their system". Once the parasite steals your nutrition and you've lost weight you can have it removed by a Dr. in this country as an approved medical proceedure.

    Absolutely nuts!
    ewwww

Listen to you! We all know you just booked a flight to Asia.
I dont like things shoved up inside me. What about you?

As a singer, I used to overhear dancers talk about "diet tips". (and please, if you're a dancer, don't take offence!) These are obviously extreme cases.

"just eat kleenex to stay full."

"when you're hungry, just take a sleeping pill."

and, the saddest of all, overheard at Starbucks. The girls in question were in their mid-teens, and one told the other "just start smoking. it totally kills your appetite.":noway:

Well, I have tried many in the past, but I'd say the craziest was the mushroom team diet that I tried in the mid-90s. It involved getting a mushroom from someone already on the diet than growing one myself and drinking the tea

It actually killed a patch of grass in the backyard when I dumped it!

I'm totally thinking "how many calories in a kleenex?"

I've tried a lot of different things...like the 2-4-6-8 diet...where you eat 200 calories one day, 400 the next, 600 the next, 800 the next and then back down to 200. It's supposed to keep your metabolism up. >.<

And I did extreme low carb where I ate nothing but string cheese and eggs so that I would go into ketosis.

Cut out fat completely for a while.

Kept my fluid intake to under 500 ml of water a day for a while b/c I was afraid drinking would make the scale go up. (most of that 500 ml was purged too. :embarassed: )

For a long time, I took between 18 and 25 chocolate laxatives a day. (I thought they were a food group. :ohwell: ) plus OTC diuretics I bought off ebay and caffeine pills and diet pills.

Hmm...I did that Hollywood 48 hour diet where all you drink/eat is that nasty juice. Would have done the Master Cleanse but I'm allergic to peppers.

...I'm probably forgetting some. But I've tried everything.
