Diet soda cake question

The recipe posted called for... cake mix, 10oz diet soda, & 2 egg whites. So here is my question, the box of cake mix call for oil, should I omit this?? I hope someone can answer this cause I'm ready to bake.

Yes. The soda and the egg whites are in place of the oil.

I made diet coke cakes before and my recipe didn't call for eggs. It was just a cake mix and 12 oz can of pop, everything else was left out. They are quite delicious! enjoy!

OOOhhh, they are so good, I didn't even put anything on them, just ate it plain. The rest are getting packed up to go to Adventure Island tomorrow and no one's going to know they are diet!
