    Hey ladies! Sorry it's been a little while, I have been busy -- you know all of the normal stuff! Sleeping, Eating, more Sleeping! lol!! My son is visiting his grandparents, so i am catching up. This week was AWFUL food and exercising wise! I will do better this week though! Less then 30 days (26 days to be exact!) until the wedding this summer! Gotta get my butt in gear! Quite a few of us seem to have weddings this summer! We will be looking hot Hot HOT!!! :wink:

    I am settled in my new house, but I don't have internet yet! I did a workout yesterday (running around my new neighborhood which is VERY hilly...) and today I did a taebo/step/dance workout that I made up myself in my workout room. :-) I burned 250 cals in 40 mins which was good enough considering that I was just squeezing it in before I went to a cookout

    B: french toast 2 eggs with some cheese. 100% whole toast in the french toast

    L: 1 corn on the cob, 1 turkey burger, 10 potato chips, 1/2 cup potato salad, 1 chicken kabob with 3 chunks of chicken and 1 inch brownie

    1 hotdog too :-)

    D: ? Who knows.

    It's crazy to think that there is only one week left! I don't know if I will make my goal this time -- hey, I still might! I shot high this time, but I am excited! as for the name for the next session, I vote the Beach one, since the 4th of July title doesn't apply to all of the ladies. ---> But of course, it's whatever yall decide.


    Is anyone doing any summer reading? I need a new book, any favorites? Really, I like all books --except sci-fi, not a big fan of them, guess it's my lack of imagination! :ohwell:

    Hi ladies, I wanted to share something I tried yesterday and had success with (surprisingly).

    I am an emotional eater. Depression will have me STOP eating, but stress will make me eat NONSTOP. So yesterday morning, as hubby and I are discussing upcoming stressors in life, I'm standing in the kitchen eating...and eating...and eating. I had eaten all my calories for the day in the course of about 30 minutes. So I got on the computer and found this article.

    I had heard about journaling before, and tried it, but I liked this new approach. Early in the morning when I'm by myself with my thoughts is when I really need to do it. So I sat down and wrote my three concerns in a notebook. Then went under each and listed whether I could control them or not, and if so what parts. My first one was weight. In writing it out, I realized that is actually is something I can control.

    So....for the rest of the day, every time I passed something I would usually "just take a nibble of", I reminded myself that I am in control of what I put in my mouth. For some reason, having seen it in writing on a piece of paper made it seem more real. I totally conquered yesterday (minus that one small half an hour). It made all the difference in the world for me personally. I wanted to share it as I know many of us on here are stress eaters. Let me know what you think. I think I'm going to start carrying scrap paper in my purse. Whenever I get stressed, I'm simply gonig to write what the situation is and whether or not I can control it and see if that works. CONTROL!!!

    BTW, I have gained back 10 lb of the hard 15 lb I had lost and of course, right at bathing suit season, so I need this mentally as much as I do physically.

    well, down 0.2 is better than not down at all I guess!

    Lula - I'll have to check out that article later too. I have a couple of books that I've found helpful with that as well. Like you I eat when I'm stressed, and I guess unlike you, when i'm depressed I eat then too! I have one book called "Mindful Eating" by Dr. Jan Chozen Bays and a little daily reading book called "Eating the Moment" that I really like. The Mindful Eating book has exercises as well that go along with an included audio CD. I don't read them as consistently as I should, but when I do they make a huge difference!!

    i am back....

    got my phone calls made. stressed already this morning. nothing goes as planned. but, what can you do about it. go on with my day and deal with it when the date comes to deal with it. i like to have things planned to a tee. don't like monkey wrenchs at all.
    plans for today, nothing, but get some office work done. work on the pool. we got out pool up last night and it's filled. should be nice and warm by tonight. suppose to be in the 90s all week. can't do allot of exercises in it, but, can do some. son just left for the trailer. yea, quite time for a bit. i will get some housework done and enjoy. gym tonight with DH. interview tomorrow after lunch. zumba tomorrow night with shanell, thursday and friday gym days again. i think i might rest one day this weekend.

    well my job interview was just canceled. her FIL has fallen very ill and isn't expected to live but, a few days. so they are headed out of town. she said she will call me as soon as she gets back to get going again.
    got hair cut. not sure if i like the way she did it. she cut it like a boys. the other ladies at least give me some femine look to it. once i touch it up with a curling iron should be good. next time i am asking for one of the two that have done it before. i just figured they would all do a good job. now i know.

    just had lunch, was good. ready for a nap. will watch that new show extreme weight loss and maybe than. decided no gym tonight cause of DH's work today. plus going tomorrow anyway for zumba. you coming shanell?

    Hello gals!! Sorry it took me so long to post this morning. Been SUPER busy!

    Well...as you can see I am up another THREE pounds this morning!!! ARGH! I'm sure there's lots of water retention, but I have no one to blame but myself. Haven't worked out since Thursday last week. Oh well...

    Plan today:
    Food--
    B-Cinnamon burst Cheerios, skim milk, coffee w/sugarfree creamer
    S-Banana, cereal bar
    L-Mixed green salad, tomato, cucumber, snow peas, spritzer dressing, light yogurt
    S-Apple
    D-Tilapia filet with veggies
    S-1 c. ff Frozen yogurt

    Exercise--
    JM Ripped day 1-level 1 (I'm starting my count over!)
    Hopefully a run outside also. Depends on how hot it gets.

    WOW...all of a sudden feeling super sick to my stomach! Hope I didn't eat something bad. Ugh... Let's hope this feeling passes soon!
