Hi ladies. I'm here. Gonna weigh in tomorrow heck or high water. Not looking forward to it. Of course, all the weight i lost over the winter is creeping back on, just in time for bathing suit season. My daughter's fifth grade graduation party is June 18 and it's a pool party, so I really need to get my butt (literally in gear for the next 17 days). Incorporating the aid of my hubby and hoping he can help me. My daughter laughed at me yesterday because I biked to the gym. She said "You exercised to exercise?" Yup. In addition tot he exercise, I also saved money, not just on gas ($70 to just fill up my van anymore) but also I can't buy anything at stores or stop at Starbucks because I can't carry it home. Win/win. So this next challenge will definitely help :)

Great job on all the weight loss. Cathy, amazing! You are really doing it!

    :morning ladies.

I snacked like CRAZY last night, but I logged everything this morning... turned out to be about 1750 calories, about 400 over my daily goal... I didn't get my evening run in as we had tornado watches / warnings in the area until 11 pm. I did manage to sneak in a 2 mile walk during lunch. Bottom line, I was accountable, and it wasn't all that bad...

So last night was CRAZY scary... In MA we get bad thunder storms etc in the spring and summer but there are rarely tornados... the western part of the state got hit hard... the storms got much weaker by the time they reached the ocean / us so that was good... but the wind, rain, hail, and lighting was enough for me... :noway:

Chipper. The gym sounds good to me :) - but that is probably just because I miss the gym  we don't have memberships anymore

Amy. I tried WW for about a month... it isn't for me but my BF's sister and mom are doing it right now and they are doing soooo amazing.... down 15 - 20 lbs each! You can do it!!!!

Lula. Way to Go! Exercise to exercise - I love it! :flowerforyou: I am thinking of riding my bike to work... only trouble is that the BF doesn't think it is safe (I would have to ride through some bad areas...) but I think I will give it a try over the weekend with him and map out a good route! I would LOVEEE to save on gas

Reyna. Great job with the exercise!!!!!

Tiff. YEAY spin bike! How do you keep up the motivation to spin at home? I would love to, but I don't think I would be motivated to keep such a high level of energy at home :ohwell: Congrats on your new house! Homes are fun... and as I found out a TONNN of work  It is sooo worth it though!

ok, did gym did treadmill 35 mins. of incline at different levels. worked up a great sweat.
stopped and got our bottles. they hold 72oz. shanell wanted one, DH wanted one, and i wanted one. shanell was going to stop on her way home from work. they only had 3 left. so i grabbed them. now mine is full lets see if i can drink it all. they have staws, which i do better at drinking with. they are big and heavy when full. won't fit in cup holders, but, if it makes me drink water i am cool with it.

amy_36...i signed up when the new plan came out. it works really well for diabetics. i was on it for about 2 weeks than had missed some meetings and never went back.
lula...i am all for the exercise to exercise. DH wants me to ride a bike to the gym (2 miles one way) i have a hard time on bikes. i would really like to. maybe i just need to ride one more often. i don't balance well.
tiff...hows the unpacking? done yet? LOL
mlek....glad you made it through the storms. my mom lives in west port. not good to ride your bike in bad areas. there might be another safer route.
    kisten...how you feeling?
everyone else how is it going? are all the wedding plans coming together?

off to clean and do some laundry and color my hair.

hey all! Sorry it's been awhile, I normally check in at work, but we have been slammed.... and the boss frowns on me telling customers to wait while I check in with you guys (who knows why:tongue: )

But the guys are going on a poker run on Saturday, and I am going!! I am very excited! A poker run is basically a bikers charity event, where you have a "buy in" to ride your bike, and then they ride around to different places around town and you get a card for your "hand" and then at the end of the run you get different prizes for the best hand, and there will be door prizes and stuff. I have actually never been on a motorcycle before (weird I know for someone who works in a bike shop)--so i am a mix of nerves and excitement. It should be fun though!

Stacey- we used to do a poker run. We had an old Toyota Landcruiser and went camping in the dunes so we could play in the sand. There was a big rally for Jeeps and Landcruisers every year. It included a poker run. Have fun!

today was fixed mower, mowed lawns, as for some kind of workout. we went and helped shanell and her DH cut down trees for their pool to go in. it's 90+ degrees outside. i think that was a good workout, plus she had mowed their lawns which is large. i think i am done for the day

    Hi all

Been away the last couple of days visiting my sister at university, did ok on the eating thurs and fri, even went for a run fri morning along the seafront. But yesterday was bad, now I'm home, adam is back at work and there's no food in the house which means I have to go to tesco and I cannot be bothered!

Feeling a bit down today, post-holiday blues. Got a really hard week at work coming up and I'm getting a bit panicky about it :-(

I won't have lost any weight this week but will be contented with maintain and ok if I gain up to 2lbs. Anything over that I'll be peeved with!!!!

Talk to you all soon xx

    Hello!

Cathy - AWESOME JOB on the 10 pounds! What an accomplishment!! :)

Lula - I have been journaling since January. I do find it very helpful. I just filled up my first one yesterday. Excited to start a new one now. :)

    Everyone else, Hello!

I walked my first FULL MARATHON yesterday!! I am so extremely proud of myself, and like high on life. :) It is something called Walk Wisconsin, and it's non-competetive - everyone is a winner just for trying. It is also geared towards just walking. :) I actually finished last, but I'm ok with it. Doctor told me to watch my HR and not go above 120. I had a hard time with that at times, and sometimes it felt like I was crawling, but I ended up with a average of 120, which is good I think. I'll check it out at my next appointment, which is at the end of June. Anyway, with all my rest stops and all, it took me 10 hours. They were so nice at the end, still made a big deal out of me finishing, and I was only about 10 minutes behind the lady who finished second to last. Also, I just keep reminding myself that I didn't really finish last, because there were 50+ people who didn't finish at all because they dropped out, so I definitely beat them. :) I can't wait to do it again next year - this time with hopefully more friends (I did it alone this year). My hubby came with me and rode his bike around the trails, so I never felt "alone". :D

Hope everyone is havinga fabulous weekend!

    morning....

ok, ladies we need a new name for the next 6 weeks. are any of you going onto another 6 weeks? i know i will. let's get a roll call so we can shorten the list.
so far the "Sixers headed for the beach" has gotten the most votes. are there any other suggestions?

i had a great weekend. hope you all did too. tomorrow is my job interview. excited and nervous at the same time. i want to go to work, yet i really like being home and doing what i want to do. it's only 3 days a week. if it doesn't pay enough i won't take it. it will be at least an hour drive one way. so i want enough for gas and to make a difference in our budget. we shall see tomorrow. don't know the pay yet or the hours, just the days. today i am cleaning house and maybe the gym later. we'll see.

    Good morning ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA pretty much all of last week. I was SO super busy at work since it was a short week. I had NO clue what the scale will show tomorrow morning. I've been getting in plenty of exercise, but some of my food choices haven't been the best. So, we shall see...

As far as the next challenge goes, I am SO on board. Want to shed at least 5 pounds next challenge! Sixers heading to the beach is fine with me. I'll let you go ahead and start the thread Cathy...I seem to be on the computer later in the mornings these days.

well...need to get started on some things. I'll check back later!

Just wanted to check in really quickly, I had a FANTASTIC time this weekend!! The ride was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, turns out sitting on my butt all day does NOT count as exercise - - please tell me someone else is surprised by this too?! But i drank a lot, a lot, a lot. So, the scale said that I have gained 6 lbs!! I am hoping that it might just be water weight -- not looking forward to weigh in!

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Hey ladies!

The scale is being really nice to me right now. Yesterday was good but today is even better. I dont want to speak too soon but this morning I was in "onederland" by over 1 pound. I am going to attribute it to all the water I have been getting in. I really stepped it up last week and it helped. I just hope it sticks. I wont change my weight here again until I go to WW with my SIL tomorrow night. If it truely has stuck then I will update here.

I have a new phone that let's me use mfp much easier... Still no internet at the new house. So, I haven't been able to check in as much... I am still working hard. Burned 950 cals yesterday and ate 1350. So if I keep this up I should see results... Hope you all have Ben doing great. It's hard to see your posts from the phone. Ttys.
