Trying not to bash myself

Seems like the past few days have sucked where food and exercise are concerned. I've slowly moved off some of my normal routine because eating oatmeal everyday for breakfast is annoying. When I have been sticking to my guns on this the weight barely drops then if I make an adjustment it drops quickly.

I'm not planning to give up at all; but here I am at 41 and I am 320lbs. Granted I was 500lbs several years ago and after this last commitment, I'm down over 60lbs within a years time.

Feeling frustrated and slightly self-loathing.

I won't give you the pity party and say "there, there." Bite the bullet. If oatmeal is annoying, try egg beaters. 1/4 cup is like one get and only 30 cals. You can also do Turkey bacon or turkey sausage. Shady Brook makes these really good hot italian turkey sausages at 170 cals per link. That plus 1/2 cup of eggbeaters, thats only 230 calories. There's no crying in baseball!! Oh wait, wrong situation. You'll be fine. You've gotten this far. Might as well keep going.

You are doing awesome!! Try not to bash yourself. You have made amazing progress and I'm very proud of you. You're only human and sometimes we have to accept that we aren't perfect. You started at 500 pounds and are now down to 320. That's HUGE!!! I'm going to send you a friend request and I hope you accept it. If not, have a wonderful day and please don't be hard on yourself. You are doing EXCELLENT!!! Peace and Love, Suzen

I think it is awesome you are down from 500lbs to begin with and you are down 60lbs in the last year! I think that is an accomplishment in its self. As I am sure you know at times you plateau and after so long you can't help but want to be self destructive. Sometimes it feels like you are doomed to be this way forever, but it is not the truth. You have accomplished a tremendous feat already so why would you want to back peddle. I am going to be a little rude and tell you to man up and quite feeling sorry for yourself! You have already shown you have the will power so square up and come out fighting. I usually ramp up my exercise program and don't let it keep me down, I know you can do it. set yourself a couple small goals like walking/running a little farther, spending more time at the gym or try to add more reps to your workout. concentrate on them until you get over the hump!
