Got this idea from a friend's post. What are some things you remember from the world of the 1980's? Clothes you wore, hairstyles, things you just HAD TO HAVE! Here are some of mine:
1 - slap bracelets
2 - tear jerker gum (used to sell it at school - $.50 per piece)
3 - Pump high tops
4 - Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet album (still a kick *kitten* album)

I remember high bangs... my older sisters would tease their bangs until they were 6 inches off their head... then they'd spray them with their AquaNet hairspray until they could withstand hurricane force winds.0

When I was about 4 or 5 years old, my family was at Myrtle Beach, SC and he was there. A lifeguard paid me $5 and a pack of gum to walk up to him and get his autograph because she was to chicken to do it. I had no idea who he was or what I was doing so I did. I remember him shaking my hand too. My first celeb story. lol0 -

I graduated from high school in 1983 and remember all of these things. But, let's not forget the 80's hair - CURLY PERMS! I totally rocked acid washed jeans, and my husband (then boyfriend) rocked the parachute pants. Also, don't forget the hightop Reebok's with velcro straps!0
