Im wantng to start this C25K butr Im a little confused with how to start it. Is there a certain way that you have to do it? Being treadmill, elliptical, or outdoor running. Also is there a certain mileage that you need to start with? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

do what you're comfortable with. treadmill is fine, but running outdoors will be more difficult. elliptical probably won't cut it if you're actually wanting to jog a 5k race. the program is set to be done in 9 weeks, but it took me about 30! i took it slow and modified it as i needed to. i originally couldn't run the first 60 seconds without a break, but i'm now able to jog 3.5 miles nonstop. don't worry about time or distance - that will come. just focus on making it through the intervals, even if you're only barely shuffling your feet. best of luck to you!

I finished the c25k in may and completed it running on the treadmill only. I always ran on a slight incline to compensate for the uneven outdoor terrain. When I started I found I was running too fast. I have a HRM and was constantly above my maximum zone, so I made sure I kept my heart rate within the zones. I find I can now run faster whilst still remaining in my target zone. I think a jog is fine you can work on your speed later, I would work on distance first.
