For Fun : Phobias

So I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of silly, different, werid, unique phobias people have. I am not trying to poke fun at any debilitating clinical phobias. And I know we are all afraid of not meeting goals for being unhealthy. (i.e. spiders, snakes, random pies in the face, things like this.)

Mine: rodents --> mostly mice and rats. To the degree that I have nightmares about them.

aside from gaining all my weight back-
    spiders.
    centipedes.

and, this one's stupid, but I like to take walks at night, and whenever I pass by woods or something especially dark, I get REALLY scared. Of what? I honestly don't know. It's not that I think there is a person hiding in there and I could get mugged, it's more like SOMETHING is hiding in there. Monsters? hahaha... I know they're not real but when it's dark, WHO KNOWS!

spiders...I actually jumped out of a moving car cause I had one on me....thank goodness it was moving very slowly...lol. I've gotten some better, I can actually kill them now without a panic attack, but I still can't clean them up...lol

Moths. I literally have panic attacks if I am near them. Butterflies still kind of creep me out as well, but not as badly as moths.

Vomit- if I see someone vomit (either in person or on TV), or hear of someone with a stomach virus, I instantly feel sick and usually have a panic attack. HA!

    Bridges.
    Dark water.
    Salt water.
    Large open bodies of water.

So I guess a bridge over dark salt water would probably give me a heart attack.

Clowns and roaches are my two biggest ones. In the past couple of years I will wake up and think I see a roach crawling on the wall. I will turn all the lights on and start looking before I realize it was just a dream. It is really getting to be annoying! If I am near a clown I will have a panic attack. Imagine pulling up to a red light and there is one in the car next to me!

Me too!! It's a very debilitating fear. I can't even stand to be in crowds for fear that someone around me has been sick. I have a child- and when she is sick with a stomach virus, my husband has to take over because I just cannot handle it.

we have woods behind our house, and i agree..woods are scary enough, without it being night time

Knives. I can't be in a kitchen with someone when they are using them or I'll have a panic attack. I automatically think it'll somehow stab me and practically feel the pain of it. Same thing with people pretending things are knives and trying to 'stab' me. I've gone into fits of crying and near hyperventilating when these things happen.

Don't know why, but there you go. It's very scary and uncontrollable!

    ew. moths are gross.

i am also terrified of outer space (at least when i have dreams about it i am terrified)
    suffocation.
when i can't touch the bottom while swimming (unless it's in a pool)
when i can't see the bottom while swimming- who KNOWS what's down there! the ocean is scary, but lakes are gross.

    i love this game.

okay, I forgot the needles, if I have to have blood drawn or a shot I cry everytime, it doesn't hurt at all, I'm just terrified of the needles. Having to have an IV in keeps my heart rate so high I feel light headed.

i dont like swimming in lakes or oceans, because i fear what i can't see..i am also scared of the dark, especially outside, so if i HAVE to get something from the car, or leave or return home at night, i cover my head and face, because if i can't see what may be out there, it can't see me either  i am also afraid of bad things happening to my family, spiders, and the big flying, almost mutated bugs we have in this area

I struggle with needles as well. I didn't mention them, because I have been doing much better with them recently. BUT my doctor knows I have to have 5 or 10 minutes after a shot to calm myself down haha

Okay, don't laugh..... spotted bananas. *shudders*

I can't touch or even look at bananas when they've started to turn brown.... they look diseased and creepy. Ick!

Oh, and driving during severe weather (insane rainstorms, hail, really bad snowstorms, etc.) But, spotted bananas are worse!
