July Century plus cycling challenge

After 10 days, I have:
58 commuting miles road bike,
1,400 feet ascending on trail bike,
9,650 feet of descending on my DH bike.
3 more weeks in the month. I need to get 3 days per week of commuting, I need 4 more big trail rides, and one big day of DH at the resort. OK, that's not gonna happen.
Revised goals: 3 weeks of XC racing at Thursday Night Race League, that should give me a total of around 7,500 feet of climbing. That means I can commute2 days per week = 80 x 3, that should give me a total of 300 road miles. That leaves full weekends, two more times to the resort, that should give me 20,000 more descent feet, for a total of say 30,000 feet for the month.
But if the rest of the month goes like the first 10 days did, I won't make even the revised goals. Except for the DH riding, because that's what I love more than anything in the whole wide world. The thrill is incomparable.0 -
As of today I am up to 146.42 miles month to date. It was so windy today that my commute into work was 15 minutes longer and my commute home was 15 minutes shorter than average.0

Back from vacation!!! I didn't quite make the 100 miles before I left, but I'm almost ready to get to bed so I can get a good nights sleep and ride to work in the morning. Was pretty darn lazy on vacation, ready to step it up and kick some butt for the rest of July!0

Rode to work this morning, and took the long way home to rack up some miles. Added 20 miles to my ticker! Yay!0

I had to take the shortest routes possible because my seat came a little loose and then stuck in an upward position. I am going to make my 300 this month unless something bad happens to stop me.

I rode around for a bit after work trying to find a new shop that opened in my area. Didn't find it. :ohwell: Got a few extra miles out of it.

Panda you are going to be hard to catch. The extreme heat we have been having with heat indexes over 110 have kept me off y bike. It did cool down today so I got 30 in but the heat is on it's way back. You are doing great keep going to keep me motivated. My goal is no longer 500 but to beat you!!! LOL just kidding but keep it up.0 -

With today's ride I am at 393. Going to be tough to get to 500 being out of town most of the week. I am taking my bike with me so if I have time in the evening I might be able to find a trail or road and do just a few miles now and then. Lucky we all have a full extra weekend this month.0

I'm reading all of these posts and I feel like such a slacker! I'm at 84.6 as of today and have a group ride of about 25 miles scheduled for Wednesday night so I'll make my 100 mile goal this month with a few miles to spare. Maybe I'll shoot a litle higher next month.0
