I'm in!!! I have been watching her on youtube! I was told about her by a friend, and I love it! I have 2 kids home (one is school age and the other is just over 1 yr old) and having them home doesn't make exercise easy! This will be good, as I am also in another challenge for the summer too!
Feel free to add me as a friend, love meeting new people and we can never have enough friends, esp when it comes to motivating each other, I just ask you fill out the message part please Thank you!:flowerforyou: :drinker:

How does everyone add her workout to your exercise goals? 3? 2? 1?
Walking goal:100
Miles completed: 32
Miles to go : 680 -
I enter her workout under Aerobics, low impact.0

When I add her 3 mile 45 min walk, I put it in as 20 min 4.5 mph, 15 min 3.5, and 10 min 2.0. It only says I burn 190 calories. I think it is more then that? No?0

I might join, but I haven't tried any of the videos yet. I had a few questions I figured this would be a place where the experts would be.
How do you log your workouts with the video?
And what is a normal calories burnt per hour of the video?
I don't have a HRM so I kinda wanted to get some idea of the exercise level of the videos.0 -
Hey, I'm glad I found you. I walked 140 miles last month, but with the kids home I don't know if I can walk that far. I will aim for 120 miles. I will post how far I have already walked in July later. Thanks for starting this. I enjoyed it last month0

Leslie sansone walks are broken into miles. Many walks are 1 mile in 15 minutes, therefore at a pace of 4 miles an hour. Other walks are a mile in 12 minutes- 5 miles an hour and even a mile in 10 minutes- 6 miles an hour. Did that help?0 -
Yea, that kinda helps. But I'm guessing there is a lot more to it than just straight walking. So I was thinking it would be quite different than logging it as a 4 mph walk0

I consider it low impact aerobics. It is more than just walking. It is very easy to follow and you can bump up the intensity by making your moves bigger.0 -

I walk our loop almost nightly and it is just over 1 mile around it once.(1.1) I have used pedometers and I've walked it at 2.5 mph in 24 min and I've done it at 3.2 mph in about 15ish min. 3.5 mph to 4.0 is more of high power walk. 4.0 is considered power walk to light jogging. It is no longer just plain walking. Leslies first tape (i mile walk) is definitely a beginner 2.0 mph but she adds cardio so therefore, putting it under light aerobic/cardio is better. And since her other tapes are more cardio geared, they go in that fashion as well. You can however log it under walking based on the steps made, (1 mile in 17 min at 2.5 or 3.0 mph, and aprox 140 - 180 cal burned), and on the intensity. I also have a HRM and durring her 1 mile tape it was approx 140 cal burned. But keep in mind, I didn't give it my all when I did it because I had just done my Zumba and I was trying to keep my HR down.
I hope this helps...0 -
