Any runners up for 150 miles in July?

Joined the 100 mile challenge in July. Met and exceeded it by reaching 137 miles with my running.

So in order to push myself a little harder, I have set a goal of 150 miles this month, cullminating in a 10.7 mile trail race on the 31st.

Anybody out there want to join me? Ok, maybe not for the race, but for the running miles?

My schedule, if do all of runs, is 156. It would be cutting it close, but I can definitely try.

Technically, yes, it comes out to 5 miles a day, but that doesn't mean that we'll run every day. I won't and I'd technically be still scheduled to hit it.

That is an average of five miles a day, every day - I rarly run five miles. My weekdays runs are 6-7 miles, my weekend runs are currently at about 9-10, trying to get that up to about 13-14 over the next month and a half.

I live in the Endurance Capitol of the World, and have begun to be recruited by some of the local ultra runners. For some crazy reason they think I have promise as a distance runner. The fact that I tell them I don't have the desire, hasn"t yet phased them. Maybe they are wearing me down, have to admit I did start wondering if two years would be enough to work up to the Western States 100. <shakes head>

Wow, glad to see there is interest.

tickerfactory.com is what I used. It will give you a code that you can cut and paste into your signature settings.

Guess it is time to make a new one, not that I finished updating last months :-/

No worries, we have all been there. You have to go back to tickerfactory.com, easiest to go into your browser history, and then will need your password to update. It is set up so no-one else has access to your ticker.

So I hadn't really invisioned this as being a formal challenge, more just a place where we can encourage and motivate each other. Maybe commiserate as the case may be be. With my schedule it would be difficult to tally everyones totals, but will try to do so that is what is desired.

Would think however, anyone who would sign on this kind of commitment would have have a high level of dedication and accountability.

    Good luck everyone!

Sure... I'll give it a shot!!! Is this the same as the June one... all miles... cycling, running, walking, swimming, etc??? Or is it just running???

Day 1... 6.2 miles running... 1.4 miles walking... total of 7.6 miles. Good start here! :)

    Hey Dawg,

It was meant to be running, not miles total. But I count my walk breaks when I am out on my runs in my miles, so really up to you. Good luck!

Not off to a good start. My dumbass twisted my ankle and fell in the middle off the street drunk last night. Think I need another day or two of recovery before I can run. So need to get the two sides of my personality in sink. At times I feel like I lead two different lives.
