BFPB (Body Fat Percentage Believers) Challenge!!! 7/04-9/12

I have no access to scale while away at work, but I was under cals every day this week (including a double quarter pounder and chicken sandwich at mcdonalds one day for a semi-cheat meal - no sauces/mayo/condiments/drinks or fries), doing interval training and hanging ab exercises / pullups, along with a few dumbell exercises and trx. No steady state cardio whatsover. I am strictly counting calories/with scale and looks like vascularity increasing in arms/calves and chest, stomach slightly tighter, I am definately losing %'s, not sure how much - should be able to test relative BF%'s next week on home and gym scales.0

Great job CB!
My BF% is at 32.4% this week... Which is down but not a whole lot down from last week. I went over on my calories pretty much every day last week because of PMS but that should (hopefully) change today. My exercise calories burned were 1070 (EXACTLY what MFP wants me to burn lol  )
This goes to show that the calories you eat truly are directly related to fat loss!0 -
Howdy!
I too haven't had access to a body fat calculator. Hoping to get to one tomorrow if I can! Since joining MFP I have lost almost 5 pounds, which is a nice perk for me. I am hoping to see a low 23 or a high 22 when I get to that calculator!
Congrats to both of you for a stellar week. Does it seem to be getting easier??
Happy Monday!

I've eaten healthy for a long time, but my portion sizes were way too big, often eating 1/3 or 1/2 of calories in one big meal. MFP has really gotten my diet to the next level - I can tinker with my meals to get approx the same nutrients 6 times a day. When I know I am going to be close to my calorie ceiling, it is also motivation to do a workout - even a very small one.. The best motivation I think is when you see the results in the mirror, so yeah I think it gets a bit easier to get motivated as you go along..0

I'd say things are actually getting harder for me, but that's because my family and I are going through a tough financial crisis right now and I don't have much control over what I eat. Hopefully once I can start making some extra money things will change though0

Well, I guess the water weight from TOM is disappearing, because my reading is at 30% BF today I can tell it's going down because I'm looking and feeling a lot thinner, but I'm not trusting TOO much in the calipers, because they could easily be wrong. My measuring tape is telling me all sorts of weird things so I'm not sure what to think! I was under on my calories 4 days last week and I earned 1,718 exercise calories0

This week again I thought I looked better last week, lol - but I seem to zigzag a bit like that, but overall I'm definately losing fat - my gut is definately flattenning out...
I went over in calories once this week (purpose cheat), but ate like crap another day as well. I usually do some sort of workout 5or6/7 days which was ok this week. I was able to keep my diet stricter the last few weeks because I was at work and only brought good food with me. Its a little harder being at home - more temptations to cheat. I'm going for a fairly low carb diet for 5-6 days out of the week, and then have one higher cheat day - keeping protein consistent to approximatey 1 gm / lean lb of body mass or slightly lower.
My home scale says 18.5%BF, but then again its also said up to 26%, so might be time for new scale. Heading in the right direction, but I think results will be harder to come by since I'm in the 15% range. Will try to get gym bioimpedence done this week to see if thats going down.0 -
Ok, so I have results from the gym BF tester. In the last month I've lost 8 lbs, and my BF% went down 1.1%, from 16.0% to 14.9%. This # seems very accurate - thats pretty much exactly what I estimated in the post above and it tends to agree with comparison pictures of many people online. Based on gut reduction, i thought the numbers would have been a little nicer, but a step in the right direction none-the-less... hope everyone is doing well0

I'd love to, but I know there's just absolutely no chance of it happening.0

Interesting information on skinfold measurements. I think I might start using this in addition to figuring out my body fat %. It might actually be even more accurate...0 -
Today my body fat percentage reads 28.9% and my skinfold calibration is 138 (down from 142 last week). I was under on my cals 6 out of 7 days (YAY!!!) and I burned 1322 cals in exercise.0
