Crunches actually help cramps for me! I read that in a 17 magazine a long time ago and live by it!

Get a vitamin B complex and up your potassium and magnesium. I only get cramps for a bit when I start now, and that's it! I also no longer have any PMS ahead of starting. I've NEVER had it so easy in my life as I have in the last 5-6 months.

Exercising! Running since it's what I do really seems to help. Anything to keep moving. I'll take ibuprophen if I have to, but I always try to stay away from it. And lots of water!

Do you have access to a pool? Just floating helps a lot, especially if the water is warm.

For me, it would have to be running, becaue you whole body is moving and it helps to take ibuprofen before you run oh and stay away from alcohol, salt and sugar.
    Good luck

A heat pack, some aleve and a run in the evening :) Maybe a hot shower too. Squatting may help too as it lets those muscles relax. Feel better!

I have endometrios, cramps are horrendous during ovulation and period. So i googled home remedies (dont want a hysteremcy at 34!!) and I take ground flax seed, about 2-3 tablespoons a day, just sprinkle it on my cereal in the morning. It has helped me tons!!! Wish I had known about this a long time ago!!!!

Caffeine makes pain/cramps worse.... and calcium eases pain/cramps. So, lay off the coffee and soda, and drink some skim milk...or maybe just a little bit of ice cream. :o)

Also, if your cramps are really bad, you might want to talk to your gynecologist about being tested. I had awful cramps (prior to going on the pill), and I was just recently diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Which, by the way, was also attributing to me easily gaining weight but not being able to lose it very easily.

**Also, these are some amazing tips!! Thanks ladies! :o)

Calcium, take a bunch of calcium. A lot of times it's a lack of calcium that causes it. Also, if you want to go hardcore, become a vegetarian and watch them virutally disappear, or at least that happened for me.

pamprin never helped me.. midol quit working and started making me sick... so I steal Ibuprophen 800s from my BF... I tried getting some from my gyno but he won't give me anything because I'm "TOO YOUNG TO BE ON ANY MEDICATIONS" whatever.... :(
