:flowerforyou: You can do it:flowerforyou: I admire you!0

You are a better woman than I. With Halloween & 2 boys T or T'ing, it is going to be survival mode around here to keep me OUT of the sweets! Best of luck & I'll use you as inspiration in my "stay out of the loot" plan. :happy:0

Ooooohhhhh-- that's a great idea. I'm in-- especially with Halloween around the corner, this will really help.
Great idea-- !!!0 -
That's why I have to do it. If I let myself just be like, oh you can just have that one piece, it turns into 20!:laugh:0

You can do it! We all can!!!0

Those fun sized things are the worst b/c in my head, I'm thinking, "it is so tiny, it won't do any damage." Riiight. Then after I've ate half the bag, I look at the calories.:noway: We'll see how I do. Good idea for a self-challenge!0

Well, if Marla's going to do it, I'm going to give it a shot, too. She has more kids out trick or treating than I do!
Do your kids Trick or Treat, Marla? Now that I've gone & assumed that they do. LOL0 -

Yes, Ma'am.
We stay away from the real scary costumes-- but, I'll have Little Red Riding Hood, Wendy the Witch and a couple more out there this year.
This will help me so much!!!!0 -
Yeah, I'm really excited about this!!!!0

Me too!!!
Thanks so much!!!0 -
I'll join this challenge. The only lucky thing about me is that we live on a mountain so we never have trick or treaters here but I will take my boys out. I have a Commander Rex and Darth Vader both from Star Wars and then a little 15 mth old bee. She cant eat the candy though although she does seem to like lollipops.

Wow, that's going to be a tough one! I can do it for a couple of days, but a whole month is probably beyond me! Would sugar free jello be considered cheating??0
-
We don't do the scary costumes either, Marla. My 3yo is a pengin, my nearly 2yo is a chicken & the boys wanted our 6month old to be a turtle. If I was to dress up, I'd be a zoo keeper. LOL
This is really going to be good. My dh is already annoyed with me that I don't have Halloween candy in the house yet so he's really going to be out of luck. HA!
That's a good question about the sugar free jello. What's everyone's take on that?0 -

I wouldn't count that cheating-- I'm wondering, though, about the can of Coke I just had-- I'm trying to stay awake while I type for work, and I decided to schedule it into my calories and eat less supper to have the Coke-- I drank it all down and then thought-- yipes!!!!!!!
However, when I thought "sweets" I thought of yummy, ooey, gooeys.0 -

I can resist except for that Reese's cup on top. I LOVE those! I haven't opened any of the bags of candy I've bought because I know if the bag is opened, I won't be able to only have one. I'm planning on taking 1 or 2 pb cups out for me on Halloween and that's it. There are a lot of kids around here so I know everything else I bought will be gone.0 -
I could eat every last single piece of candy in that shot of Marla's. I'm such a candy junky & since I started my new "lifestyle," I've all but cut it out. I miss my weekly grocery store candy bar the most....but I will live & I will participate in this challenge...starting tomorrow! LOL I completely forgot when i went to my mom & dad's & immediatly ate a giant sugar cookie when I got there. What is wrong with me?!0

Oh, yeah-- and then some-- I could polish this off without a thought-- big time chocolate lover.
Hubby bought me a Valentine Heart one year full of chocolates (icky ones, really, not even the "good" Russell Stover's or that kind--) However, he went upstairs while I watched "Thirtysomething--" tells you how long ago-- he came down after it was over and reached for a piece of chocolate-- it was gone, gone, gone.0 -
How stupid am I????????? I let my kids make brownies-- the house smells incredible, the brownies look delicious-- and I can't have one until #$@! Thanksgiving.

One day down!!!! Everyone stay focused!!!!!!!!!!0
-
Thanks, areay! Focus is the key, I'm finding. I've been watching what I eat, but it is like the "don't think of a purple elephant" theory...you immediately think of a purple elephant, kwim? FOCUS!
LOL Marla. I just went to the grocery store & let my 3 yo get a giant bag of m&ms to help me make cookies with. I think I have some sort of disorder....sugar on the brain....self sabotage....something of that nature. I'll just save a few for the boys & send the rest to work with my husband tomorrow. Oh! AND I have to make a dessert for him to take to a "goodbye" party tomorrow night. Whatever. This challenge is turning out to be very challenging! (go figure  )
My dh went as far to hide the cadbury mini eggs from me last Easter so he could have some. BUT, I was about 36 weeks pregnant at the time & could hunt them down from a mile away. I let him have a few.
(this post is getting long) AND I just realized this morning that my other little boy's 2 year b.day party is in the middle of November so I'm going to be making cakes & buttercream icing in a couple weeks. What have I gotten myself into?! I'm going to need a lot of gum to get me through this one...but it will all be worth it in the end.

Woo hoo, Ang!!! And if you fail, I can drive to your house & smack it out of your hand...just give me 35 min. or so to get there. You can do it, chica!
Marla, you crack me up. My MIL get the apples from QVC every year that are covered in like 97 different caramels & candies. Kind of takes the nutrition right out of the whole fruit thing.0 -
SUCCESS-- not even a crumb from the brownies did this mother ingest this day-- woo hooooo--
I am woman--0 -
WTG, Marla!
The cookies are made...they smelled really good. Now I have to make the dessert for tonight. Here we go.0 -

Hello, my name is Claire.............................and I am a candy junky.
We don't get trick-or-treaters at my house so I don't have to keep candy around waiting for the big day. I do donate some to our church for the fall festival, but I made sure to take it right to the church. I wouldn't even bring it in the house. I know I would break into it. One way I limit the Halloween candy temptation at my house is I give my kids one week with their candy. They're allowed to take a piece or two in their lunches and a piece or two after school. My husband does his raids also, so a lot of it gets eaten. After a week, the rest goes in the trash. Last year we donated the non chocolate stuff for the Operation Christmas Child boxes. This way I only have to deal with it for a week. Most of the time I console myself with a SF fudgsicle.
I know you guys will prevail, be strong!!!0 -
Agony-- why do I do these things???
My 11 year old daughter just made Toll House Cookies-- aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
I've got my 9 year old pushing her cookie in my face saying, "Aw, come on mom, you can have one."
AAAAAAAA-- madness!!!!!!!
BE STRONG-- NO SWEETS UNTIL THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!0
