Agreed :) I know the winner doesn't technically win anything from this but don't cheat lol its just lame
  • Oh and if we're incorrect. Apologies are in order :)
  • We are now updated through Monday on the map (link at the bottom). We rowed whopping 514.24 miles (doubled) yesterday!!! WE ARE IN 6th PLACE!!!!!!! (& started a week late!!) Awesome job guys!! Keep up the AMAZING work!!! :D

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you get in 9 cups of water tomorrow/Weds - do it for the team ;) it will help you out and make sure we at least stay where we are at (6th place woohoo!) or maybe even get ahead if we are lucky! If EVERYONE on the team gets in 9 cups (72 oz) that’s 135 miles with *NO WORKOUT*!! (its a rest day!) (if you do get in a killer workout we can add it to Thursdays, but its supposed to be a rest day soo its up to you—I know some of you are on a good plan and won’t be taking the day off!) That's gotta be some incentive to drink up though! Add some lemon/lime/orange to it if that will help you out...Plus if that's not enough incentive... water helps not only to help release impurities from your body, but also helps with full body functioning, including your brain, which is made up of 80% water, and also makes your skin look & feel better. It is said to even help boost your metabolic rate! Lack of water can cause many many issues in the body. 9 cups of water is what a person who is 144+ lbs should be drinking every single day, if not more.

I honestly hate drinking water, and it has caused an unbelievable amount of problems in my life, not joking at all, if you are interested you can message me and I will explain…. Let’s just say…seizures…just to get started… so now I am challenging myself to drink 100 oz of water each and every day…and just in one day it has helped tremendouslyyyy.

But if that’s not enough incentive yet…. "Water hydrates your body and helps it work efficiently. Water boosts your metabolic rate, which gives you energy and helps to burn calories. It is an essential drink in everyday life and a great tool for those who are dieting. Since feeling thirsty and hungry often go hand-in-hand, if you’re feeling thirsty you might accidentally start eating instead of going for a glass of water. Try to listen to what your body needs and keep a water bottle close at hand. You don’t want to be adding on the extra pounds by eating when you’re not even hungry. If you’re feeling hungry drink a glass of water 15 minutes before eating, it will help to subside your hunger so you can better manage your portion control. The health benefits of drinking water are numerous from increasing your metabolism and boosting your energy levels, to hydrating your body and moisturizing your skin. Water is one of the most vital substances our body needs."

Soooo JUST DO IT! I know you can!! I already have you all down for 9 cups … more incentive for ya ;)

I apologize, I promise I wasn't intentionally "cheating"!!! :O I saw a different thread the first time and just saw a diff thread this time around that explained it totally different. I will be making an announcement on my wall, but also for my crew members who see this:

*I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding guys, I was confused about the game for Weds --- it is a *mandatory* rest day so you will not get credit for any calories burned tomorrow. You only get miles for the amount of water you drink (up to 90 miles for 9 glasses). Please make sure you drink up those 9 cups guys!! That'll bring us a lot of miles for no workout!!! :) Also, I just found out there will now be mandatory rest days every week to make sure the competition stays healthy, so please take advantage of those if you can! We want you to survive this and be able to kick butt the rest of the time ;) I will let you know about next weeks games when I find out :)

Hey crazy mateys! Just thought I would update on here in case any of you have been checking! We are now updated on the map through Sunday (as of 1:45 Monday 8/8/11) -- not sure if the other boats are all updated or not though, but it looks like we are in about 10th place! It is a pretty close race & we also started a week late, so regardless of where we finish, we will know we did SUPER! Of course I would love to see us win, and since we started a week late, that would really prove some hard work & dedication! We are currently at 15,805.72 miles! That is incredible in just 4 weeks! You guys are truly AWESOME! It looks like the race is coming to close soon, so we gotta step up our game this week. It ends, when WE cross the finish line. This week everyday is a double day, but Tues & Thurs are "double double" days/quadruple days!! So this is our time to shine! And Sunday will be a rest/water day, so please make sure you get in the 9 cups of water for the team --- 90 miles for no work! and you all deserve to have a well rested & fun weekend! Thank you all for being so terrific, supporting one another, etc and I am SO HAPPY to have gotten to know all of you wonderful dedicated people. I hope this challenge has challenged you to be the best you can be and to also get to know some great MFPs! There will be another race that will be similar but also different in some ways too I believe, in september so any of you who are interested just let me know because I plan to do it again I hope and would love to have all of you on the team again! :P

I posted this on your walls but I will post it here again to remind you :P

To my awesome/gorgeous/sexy/smart/dedicated/absolutely wonderful all around friends: “**My wish for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, You never need to carry more than you can hold, And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to, I hope you know somebody loves you, And wants the same things too, Yeah, this is my wish**……I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow, And each road leads you where you want to go, And if you're faced with the choice and you have to choose, I hope you choose the one that means the most to you … I hope you never look back but you never forget, All the ones who love you and the place you left, I hope you always forgive and you never regret, And you help somebody every chance you get…” :D<3

And last but not least here is the map link again in case you need it! Check it out!
