I will be Going to a Tony Robbins Seminar in Chicago tomorrow until Monday.
The seminar runs from 8:30am to 11pm each night..WOAH. I won't get a chance to work out, we will hardly get any breaks so all I will be doing is sitting the whole time. I am totally not looking forward to it. Just gotta make sure I eat healthy...maybe go for a walk in the mornings before the seminar...well in a city I've never been to, this does not sound realistic.

Any one else been in the same situation, Or been to a Tony Robbins seminar?

BTW...my work is sponsoring this event which sounds like it'll be worth it.

Can you snack during the day (healthy of coars) then walk during the lunch time? You can stay near the area just circle the building several times. We don't need you getting lost, LOL. Oh and do the stairs on your breaks and when you go to the restroom so you're getting some movement.

Ahh, I HATE situations like this. I was supposed to work at a summer camp this summer and the thought of camp food mixed with not being able to workout everyday killed me. However, it didn't work out so I'm home. :)

But, I would suggest walking in the mornings, and then in mornings or evenings do stuff in your room like abs, running in place, pretend jump rope, push ups, planks, etc. Heck, even just dancing around to your ipod! :)

    Good luck! :D

If your staying at a hotel maybe the have a gym room, you could get up early and make a trip there otherwise, i'd just watch your diet and relax from there. Drink more water!

Almost all hotels have a gym/pool area. Get up early and do it. You will feel better throughout the day knowing you got you workout in... I would beat myself up all day thinking about how I didn't workout an hour less of sleep is better than a day of regret.

Bring your laptop and do the the 8-min workouts.
Bring resistence bands to do some streching, or maybe stop by the library and check out some workout videos to don on the computer.

I'm in Chicago do you know what area you'll be staying in, I can tell you some good areas to walk. I get up at 5 am and walk/jog before work. Will they cater meals or do you have to supply your on?

    So true!
  • Great suggestions...I'll definitely be trying some of them out. I like the dancing in the room idea...that'll definitely burn some cals.

They won't give us breaks for food(except for one day) so we have to bring our own snacks and such...this is good as I can pack my own snacks.

I'm not sure what the seminar is about but Tony will keep you energized for sure. If you have a few minutes ask him about his nutrition green drinks and his work on Akaline foods and nutrition.
As to work out, I'm sure Tony himself will be working out at least an hour each morning so you can do it too. :)

Enjoy the seminar Tony is a great speaker and motivator.

That is a long long day of sitting, you will be wiped out just from that. I think on your breaks it would be a great thing to take a brisk walk. Be sure to take your own snacks because we all know, to well, the kind of junk that is normally at seminars(donuts, pastries, etc...) unless it is a fitness seminar, I don;t know who Tony is.

Good Luck, but if you don't follow your new fitness and healthy eating habits for a couple of days it won't be the worst that could happen. Just do your best.
