So I'm fully annoyed. After a long day of costumes, candy & crying, I went to upload my pics of my kids & my ******* camera crashed & took all my pics with it. So, no costume pics from me! SOOO pissed...

I hope everyone had fun tonight!

No way!! What a bummer. We had a fun time. Josh, 2, began to poop out and asked me to carry his candy bucket. Instead, I dumped it into a spare bag I brought for just such an emergency, and gave him back his empty bucket to carry so he can get more candy. This totally freaked him out. "I want my candy back." Of course, at that point everyone thought mean old mommy "took Joshy's candy," so I had to explain to everyone what happened, all the while Josh cried bloody murder. I ended up having to carry him the rest of the way since his empty bucket weighed so much more than his full bucket now that his wittle heart was now terribly heavy from mean old mom. Sheesh.

Thank God this day only comes once a year, eh?

But, I didn't have any candy-- yay for me. Or the chocolate chip cookies my rotten daughter baked, nor the strawberry cream layer cake grandma and grandpa brought for dessert-- I'm DYING. I walk out in the living room and there's chocolate EVERYWHERE. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

We had fun I guess. No trick or treating. We went out since we didn't have any candy. We are trying to make our son a bed so we walked around Lowe's and Walmart for 3 hours! I walked off dinner! My legs are tired! I also did push ups earlier and 30 minutes of taebo. I'm done for the day. Whew!
Sorry about your camera BB! How horrible!
And Marla I pray your DH finds another job soon.

Would you pray for Alex? He's running a fever and is lethargic. It's hard when any kid is sick, but when they don't know how to express how they are feeling, it makes it worse. I'm very sad. I really hate this.
    Thanks.

MM - Of course I'll pray for Alex! I hope he feels better soon, and I hope you get a little time to relax sometime soon.

Marla - I am so sorry to hear about your husband. It's a really tough time for everyone in this economy, but especially with nine kids to raise. I'll be praying for you as well.

3BB - Darn your silly camera!!!!! Maybe you could set up an impromptu post-Halloween photo shoot to get awesome costume pictures.

Nothing really going on here. We had a fun Halloween, and DH left for tour this morning. He should be back sometime soon. It's not a very long tour this time. I'm still bummed though. It's rough with no hubby around.

:frown: We're all so sad today.

To lighten the mood, here's my funny story for this morning. So since my hubby had to leave around 10 this morning, I went to the gym early so I could make sure I got a workout in today. I didn't realize that the gym had a lock-in last night and they were just letting out when I got there at 7:50. They didn't open until 8. :blushing: I was so embarrassed. They had a bunch of kids running around screaming off sugar highs from donuts, and there I was, in my slept in hair and dirty workout clothes (I didn't really have it together this morning. I hadn't had any coffee.) and they had to go turn everything on for me while watching all the kids. I told them they didn't have to, but they did it anyway. So there's my (kind of) funny story this morning. More embarrassing really than funny. Oh well. Feel free to laugh at me.

I hope everybody's weekends get better!

Oh my heavens, everyone needs some prayers right now! Poor little Alex! I hope this passes quickly for you, MM!

Loki - how long is your dh on tour? I thought your story was funny. That's the kind of nonsense that happens to me...hence the reason I don't leave my house very often. LOL

Marla - your candy story is hilarious! My boys just wanted to make sure they had the right bags & not each others...you know, b/c people give different amounts to different kids from the same wagon. Goof balls. DS #2 was mistaken for a girl 5 times. DS #1 made sure to correct everyone about it...loudly. Oh, and DS #1 walked into someone's house, plopped on their couch & said, "I want to watch tv." LOL So much for stranger danger.

I just finished reading this entire thread! You ladies really cracked me up! Anyway, I was wondering....:blushing: can ANY stay-at-home mom join?:blushing: Im a stay-at-home mom, but my oldest is almost 19 (hes also away at college:sad: ...which is whole other "empty nest" story for me), my youngest is almost 14 (I can never get him out of his room and off his laptop...always playing this online game hes been playing for about a year now), and I have a step-son thats 15 (this one kinda roams around the house always bored, jeeesh!).

Probably what your all thinking by now is something along the lines of "ok...you have 2 other children at home, whats with the "empty nest" thing?":blushing: I hear that alot from everyone and the only thing I can say is he's still MY BABY lol. Hes the oldest. I guess I just feel that at 18 (he will be 19 in Jan), hes still to young to be living on his own 4 hrs away:cry: I still remember changing his diapers like it was yesterday....

Anyway, I would like to join in:smile: I enjoy reading your funny stories and your very motivational! (esp you Marla...9 kids?! wow!!) You must have the patience of a saint!

I hope Alex is feeling better MM. (My almost 14yr old's name is Alex, too:smile: )

    Have a wonderful day ladies!

I think I speak for everyone here that of course you can join Roni! Welcome!

I'm tired today. Alex woke up four times last night, but I had a hard time going back to sleep each time. He doesn't have a fever this morning and seems fine, but I know it didn't break last night, so I need to keep an eye on him today. He has no other symptoms so for that I can be grateful!
I left dinner out last night which really makes me mad! Not only have I wasted food but I also have to make lunch now. What a pain.
Anyway, on to my day: I'm going to work on Alex's bed and do my push ups test if I feel up to it. I also need to clean.
I have said a prayer for all of you, so I expect to hear good reports! Have a good Sunday!

Oh boy, poor Alex! (and poor mom). I sure dont miss the days of being up all night with a sick child:noway: , but I certainly remember what its like! I sure hope he feels better today:heart:

The push ups test your going to do today...is that for the hundredpushups challenge? I was checking that out last night and I think that Im going to join that challenge. I still need to do my test also....thats gonna be a joke! I think I understood it to mean that although you can use "girl" push ups or wall push ups during the challenge, you have to use good form "mens" push ups to take the test? Wow! I doubt I can get out 3 of those lol...

Thanks for letting me join your thread!:flowerforyou: Have a great, healthy day ladies!

Hi Roni-- welcome-- actually I saw you on the coffee thread this morning-- I'm an Aldi shopper too!! It singlehandedly keeps our family alive. Prices are a God send.

Thanks for the kind words-- life is definitely interesting with all these younguns, but they're a ton of fun.

YAY! Another mommy! Welcome to the group, Roni! I'm attempting to start the hundred push up challenge tomorrow...it is going to be girly pushups & a lot of cussing from me. What is your son majoring in?

MM - my youngest 2 are sick (AGAIN) with fevers & colds today, too. My mom & dad actually came & took our oldest b/c I had to hang up on my mom to yell at him so that was a HUGE blessing today. Micah (our second) & I got to go out by ourselves & Tabitha stayed home & snuggled with daddy b/c he's not feeling well either. It is like an infirmary over here. I hope Alex is all better by tomorrow & that he sleeps through the night! I forget about dinner being out at least once a week & I can relate to that frustration. I don't know why I do it, I just simply forget! Silliness.

Oh, and Roni. If you EVER feel that you need to change a diaper, head my way. I'll be waiting for you!

Wow, I haven't been on with the Stay-at-home Moms since the start but you all are certainly keeping it exciting. I am not looking forward to Monday. I am a stay-at-home who runs an in-home day care. My first client arrives at 5:30 in the morning and my last client of the day leaves at 4:00pm. I just don't feel ready. Although I did really enjoy this weekend. Actually took the time to get back to church. That felt good - we tend to make excuses not to go every Sunday, then I am guilt ridden for the next week. Just exhausting trying to keep my 3 year old from going into the main aisle and laying down and kicking at the end of the pews. Embarrassing!!!!!!!! Luckily, the rest of the congregation is really patient with us. My 5 year old daughter grew out of this behavior last year so now I am just waiting for my son to. Scared that may not happen. Have a great week everyone.:drinker:
