What's your daily calorie budget?

Iv set my calorie budget at about 1600 calories a day, but I make sure I never reach it. What's your daily calorie budget?

I think the recommended minimum is 1200, and that's what a LOT of women are on.

Personally, mine is 1035, but that was after consultation with a doctor and a nutritionalist.

2200-2500 NET calories. Depends on what I do that particular day:

    If I work, but don't workout - I stay close to 2200.

    If I don't work, but I workout - I stay around 2350.

    If I work AND I workout - I aim for 2500.

I ALWAYS eat back my exercise calories too.

1330 NET (so I eat my exercise calories). With some planning, I can usually hit within 20 calories on either side. :)

Edited to add that it's my NET.

Mine is 950, I try not to make it though. However yesterday I only got to 127calories. So I've implemented a minimum too which is now 500 :)

Mine used to be 1200, but I just changed it to 1350. I plan to meet with a dietician soon to talk to him/her about what would be good for ME. Everyone dietary need can be different. What works for me might not work for others. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

1200 but I only eat about 800-1000 calories a day. After talking with my doctor and nutritionist, I do not eat back my exercise calories.

your more likely to put on weight eating that little. i was on 1200 or under but found that it was less effective at losing body fat then when i ate up to 1500. your body is going to absorb all food as fat. you might lose muscle therefore lose 'weight' but it will be replaced by bodyfat.

I'm at 1700, I just changed it to 1/2 lb a week, I was struggling at 1lb a week and seem to be doing much better with my new calorie goal :-)

Agreed when saying eating too little is not effective to keep the weight off. I used to restrict like crazy and eat around 400-1000 calories a day and I did lose the weight rather quickly but put it all back on in less than a year.
So not worth it folks, do it the healthy way!
My calorie goal is somewhere between 1200-1400 now.

Mine's 1350, and I tend to stay in a 50-calorie range of that (on either side).

1530 + exercise calories, so anywhere between 1500-2800 day.
