Right and wrong ways to comment on weight loss

My father has a couple of times lost 3 or 4 stone, and people kept asking if he had cancer. Especially the first time he did it.
I find it so odd that people notice or care about other people's weight loss. I don't even notice when my friends lose or gain weight. It isn't something that is of interest to me, so I am rather horrified when people are shocked when I lose a stone. Which isn't an enormous amount of weight at all. It has made me realise how much people go around judging others all the time. I just don't have that mentality. I think I am more male on that score.0 -
Yesterday, my boyfriend told me to "stop being so strong" and "stop working out for a while" because apparently the man should be stronger.
a) he is stronger than me and
b) i don't think he'd have much interest in me if i looked the way i did this time last year.
Oh, and my mother asked me if I would "go back to normal" once I hit my goal weight. Uhm...I DO find this normal?0
